Yes ! She has done a lot for him , but she has also done many other things too to shake that trust. How much ever she has opened the trust in Ananya's name, the fact of she killing Ananya cannot be wiped off untill she tells the truth.
She tried getting inside his house in the garb of Shanno. She got married to him by forgery. All these facts cannot be wiped out.
Yes ! She is good with his kids. she has laid her life in order to save Pihu but can his muddled mind not think that - "She is madly in love with him and she is doing everything in her power to gain brownie points and get into his heart. She is aware about his closeness to his kids and so is being a good mother to them. His parents and sister are against her and so she went on to kill his sisters only daughter to break Simmi. And now when she is out of the jail, she is again trying to get to his heart. But since Simmi is against her, she is trying to oust her from the home."
The above are just my thoughts. This can be the only reason why Raman is not trusting Ishita. He is already suffering with memory loss and no one is ready to open up everything about him. He is trying to gather information about Ishita from people he trusts like Ruhi but to process the whole thing properly will take time.
To top it Ishita keeps challenging his trust on his only Support - Simmi. . His heart and mind must be in a constant fight with each other about Ishita and her loyalty and whether to trust her or not. Since CV's are not showing any monologue of Raman regarding Ishita, we can only assume things.
A small analysis done by me on Raman's journey and his state of mind after Budapest.
Raman was lost till he came across Ms. Ishita in Budapest for whom he felt this sudden attraction. He suddenly started living again. But then came the truth about Ishita being the killer Simmi's child , Ananya. He became harsh with her but did soften up with Ishita when he found out about the trust which Ishita had opened in the name of Ananya. He again started chasing her. But he became hard with her when Shanno revelation happened, leaving all of us shocked on his sudden turnaround behaviour with Ishita after this track. In fact Shanno track was actually the turning point in Raman's thought process towards Ishita .
Raman was already fragile due to his memory loss and Ananya's death truth came as a bouncer for him. But he still tried burying the hatchet and go along with his heart which said Ishita was a good person. But then reality of Shanno came out and he found out how Ishita had disrespected his father's words of not coming in front of him. He started feeling that Simmi's words like - "Ishita is an impostor, she is using his kids to get close to him, she can go to any lengths to get her wish fulfilled etc." being true. He had ignored these words earlier but when Shanno's reality was out and the reason why Ishita donned that garb was out, he couldn't ignore the glaring truth in those words that Ishita - in order to get him can go to any lengths. Sort of scary mad lover.
His feelings for Ishita died as He felt that all those talks which Shanno and he did about Ishita were purposely done by Ishita to fuel his feelings for her in his heart And so the meaning of all those talks vanished with the revelation of Shanno. He repeatedly started asking her to be away from his kids or stop using his kids to get close to him as he did not want to do anything with a mad lover.
For Raman he had only one kid, Pihu who loved Ishita and so he got really worried about that closeness. The only way to break this bond was to get Pihu a mother who would give her time and love for which Pihu repeatedly went to Ishita. That's why he agreed with the marriage but when he realised his short comings , he decided to say yes to the first match which came across him which was of Mihika.
After this he started rubbing his marriage on Ishita's face time and again To make her realize that he is now out of her reach. He even suggested her to marry Ashok so that this Ishita chapter gets closed forever from His life.
Everytime kids did something to ruin the function and Raman came to know of it, he easily believed Ishita did it and fired her as he thought her to be a mad lover who could go to any lengths to get him. This was the very reason why he even believed that Ishita tried killing Mihika on the Sangeet day as according to him, if a person can kill a child , become an impostor, manipulate his kids to get him then why can't she try killing his bride to stop the wedding.
Then came the D-day. As soon as Shagun informed Raman about Ishita missing, he became alert and got worried about Mihika (taking Toshiji's dialogue as que of Mihika will come) as for him Ishita was on lease and she is madly in love with him, so she could do anything to Mihika. His worst fears came true when the veil from the bride's face was lifted and he saw Ishita there instead of Mihika , confirming his stance once again that she is a mad woman and she can go to any lengths to get him. He hated her and so his stance of disapproving this marriage.
But when all the above things were happening there was also one more thing happening simultaneously which was - There were many situations where Ishita's goodness came into the fore which tugged Raman's heart and made him confused. That's why we often heard Raman saying to Ishita - "Whenever I tried changing my opinion about you , or thought good about you, you always did something which would bring me back to square one."
But after the marriage, Raman could see Ishita's goodness more which again confused his mind. He also tried gathering information about Ishita from his kids - Ruhi to clear his mind. That's why when Ruhi said - "She knows them from their younger days and she has always been nice to them and wished well for them" he believed her. He agreed that he has been rude with Ishita for no reason and he needed to thank her.
That is why we see a softened approach towards Ishita from Raman's side. He has not forgotten the things which Simmi has told him about Ishita but also do not hold her responsible for things. He has given Ishita benefit of doubt For now. That's why the formal behaviour. He is being cautious with her.
He obviously cannot let go of everything because Ishita still is challenging continuously his Trust on his SOLE SUPPORT - Simmi . He was harsh with Ishita till yesterday but softened when Ishita's saying about Param, his another trustworthy person came true . He was shaken with this truth. That's why when Ishita in the night tried warning him about Simmi , there was pain and request in his voice when he said - " Please Ishita" The voice modulation was such as if he was trying to stop Ishita from shredding his heart which had huge belief on his sister. He wanted to hold onto this belief.
HoPe I HaVe BeEn AbLe to analyze RKB correctly and answer why he has such a hot and cold approach with Ishita.
