Ranjha did turn up and what's more Heer left it up to him to take his decision. Coercion in love never works. As for her heart, Sharanya knew Shiv was unique, impossible to replace. None could fit into his shoes, on thethe world's stage in role or reallity.Shiv was her romantic protagonist Ranjha and she his Heer and Sharanya.. will their romance be a hard act to follow?in role and in reality?
A story within a story..in role they were Waris Shah's tragic lovers Heer, Ranjha but within the outward semblances they were just lovers, Shiv and Sharanya. She came earlier and did her bit for Valentine's day which he turned down. Now on stage subtly as Ranjha, Shiv has the chance to do his bit for Sharanya. His heart gives Shiv the boldness to fix all that he had broken before, predominantly her heart. Before all as Ranjha he pampers and woos her; sets her braided hair free, gifts her fair ankle, an anklet as a token of his love; With a tender stroke of his finger decorates the pit of her silky palm with heena to symbolize the passionate hue of his love! Over come Sharanya's heart leaps and sings, her love! her Ranjha! her very own Shiv! how wrong she was he didn't care. Shiv in role smiles down at her, assures her he always felt the same as she did. Yes, took him a while to listen to the callings of his heart,as his mind denied her advances. But his heart knocked sense in him. she is the one for him! Best thing that ever happened to him. She lights up the darkness of his life by the flame of love. He would be a fool to refuse the gift of love, that she brings to him! Now as Ranjha ,Shiv many times richer! accepts Heer and Sharanya's love.Shiv defines their love story, as a harmonious togetherness that spells the finale of their love.One without the other renders their love saga as nonfunctional,and partial.Where one falters ,the other supports keeps the other from falling! Their love thus indeed is a blessing in their lives.
This is the tragic pathos of their love story. At that point in time, both were unaware that love story will end as the tragic romance they enacted.. but their love was taken to another level..beyond the frail, finite shell of the body..
As Ranjha ,Shiv's words and gestures were far from worldly.They were more gifts from one soul to another. He gave her another gift ,a boon of nature, flowers! Not the traditional red passionate roses that contemporary lovers gave to each other on Valentine's day. For roses come with thorns,and he had seen what careless Sharanya had done to her hands with thorns!
This Ranjha's love had the discipline of faithfulness as opposed to the rising and dying out passions of love! So Shiv says it with a single Stargazer Lily, as pure and fragile as his Heer Sharanya herself! She stood stumped! and if that was not enough, Shiv on one knee, proposed to her before the audience!Will you be my eternal Valentine??Sharanya says yes! amdist great standing ovation! How true ever body loves to see lovers united!
For Vyom, the seeds of venegance were sown rightaway at the culmination of their love story. He felt cheated, Shiv knew she was his girl and still he stabbed him in his heart! Vyom will now seek the chance to stab his adversary inthe back! For all is fair in love and war! Besides Heer/ ranhja was a tragic romance! How could it end any other way?? Sharanya unequivocally belongs to Vyom! that Valentine's day still brings up painful memories for Vyom.But his obsessive love for Sharanya stubbornly and dangerously lives on. The strength of his unrequited love lies in Vyom's odd pereseverance and hope that soon Sharanya will be his forever.He chuckles, ghosts like Shiv only exist because ,humans like him make it possible. This Valentine's day, he'll make sure Vyom Bedi ,a human, goes spirit hunting!
After the play Sharanya wanted to know what made him boldly declare his love,propose before the whole campus in the flavour of the tragic romance? Simple he explained, for him too likewise it was love at first sight. He too shared fond memories of her.. how he judged her ,that she was a family oriented girl.. probably with caring skills.. he could do with that,seeing he never had a family.. he loved her for little things too. Her applying ointment to his wounded arm..for him love was a collection of mementos,that carried her very essence! Her tear stained hanky, her bangle! Proudly he showed her his collections of her priceless being in his empty life.. with each item of hers he found an unexplained solace! So Shiv told Sharanya, his Valentine's day for her began ,long before she even imagined the magical effect she had on him.Sharanya demands why he kept her in the dark about how he felt for her?? truthfully he thought initially she and Vyom were a couple. So he remained mum. Just got on with his recluse life.Stealing another's dame was not his forte!
The rich flavour of fond memories they share,today brings tears to her eyes. Alas! She is human ,with a body that desires his encompassing hug from yester years. Once more she craves to hide in the vantage point of his wide strong arms! Just to have a good cry against his broad chest.. for "the way they were.. Shiv reminds her,but then he never left her, like the tragic love story they portrayed. Dead he may be ,but he lives on inside her.. Surely their love is not so weak that one's earthly absence can finish it off! Their love trancends beyond the body! stay strong they remain united through their souls! Shranya cries and still aches for a hug.. she lurches forward with willing arms... to sense Shiv's persona..
In response, to her spontaneous act, a pair of arms go around the small of her back! Its Vyom! who can't thank his lucky stars enough for this Valentine's day favour.. Sharanya flinches, and Shiv wears a scowl on his face! Vyom knows Sharanya's internal fury. He knows whom she wanted. Too bad! but Vyom Bedi knows how to spite his adversaries! To annoy her , he even gifts her the dress he'd like her to wear tonight! He notes her semi packed suitcase, listen's to her cover up her,lies! Couldnt care less, as long as he stays consistent of what he wants from her! but as soon as Vyom,leaves.Sharanya sets his gifted dress alight!
Shiv spots the inferno of hate, revegne in her eyes. Like always, he warns her to keep her venegance in check before it reduces every one to ashes. Somehow both find solace in one fact, whether Vyom gets punished or not? their love will make it to immortality!
