It was THIS B-town Actress who got Sridevi ready for her Last Rites

Sridevi's makeup was done by her... and this Bollywood actress got her ready for her Last Rites...

Patil who got late actress Sridevi ready for her last rites...

Everyone was surprised after seeing late actress Sridevi in her final attire. All this while we weren't aware as to who dressed her up and who did her make up before she left for her final journey.

But, now, according to reports in India TV, it was actress Rani Mukerji along with Anil Kapoor's wife Sunit Kapoor who dressed up Sridevi and makeup artist Rajesh Patil who did her last makeup.

Close sources have revealed, "Rani Mukerjihelped celebrity makeup artist Rajesh Patil to get the veteran actress ready for her last rites."

Sridevi's hairstylist Noorjahan Ansari too shared that Sridevi used to like Rajesh's work and thus he was assigned the work to do her makeup whereas Rani was there to guide them."

Noorjahan also revealed that it just took five minutes to get her makeup done. She added that Sridevi was very particular about her bindi and eyebrows. Thus, this time they used her favourite sindoori bindi and red lipstick.

Anil Kapoor's wife Sunita and Rani laid the red saree on the late actress and the jewellery was from Sridevi's personal collection.

Dressed in red saree, Sridevi looked like a dulhan at her last rites.

Must've been incredibly sad but also very creepy, I assume, to dress up a dead body. That sad, because it's Sri who Rani has mentioned on a # of occasions, is her favourite actress. 😭

by the way...why was rani hiding her face...she is normally ok with media n the situation she is in...the fans were more in grieve for their lady superstar sridevi to even look at her...😲

its not creepy...its a must in hindu funeral. ..there is a ritual to it

my late father wore his wedding attire(dhoti)and all my mom's suhaagan nishani went into his coffin...they never let me see as i am not allow to but few widows came..break her mangalsutra n chooda...wipe her sindoor...her brother had to give her white cloth(it comes from maternal side)...this happens when a husband passed away

when a wife passed away...they dress her up like dulhan...make her wear her wedding ornaments and they will call the husband to apply sindoor on her forehead n tie mangalsutra again on her neck...put bichiya on her 2nd toe finger..its her last bidaai from her husband house..being a suhaagan

in both gender...the dead have to take a last bath...shuddhi of the dead...as they no more have ties with the world n their relationship...

and both parents...in the end the son has to do the rites...if the couples has daughter than the husband will do the rites...if got a son...the grandson do it...if grandaughter...the husband do it...

Actually Rani has always said that Madhuri Dixit is her favourite actress. Really nice of Rani to be there for her.

I know I wouldn't be able to sleep for nights. Heck I can't even look at the Sridevi's last picture. It breaks my heart.

Mages; Lol yep, I know all that since I am Hindu too, what I meant was that ritualistic aspect not in the picture, there is no way unless you're a mortician etc, that dressing up a dead body is NOT creepy especially of a world-famous massive star like Sridevi. So it's really nice of Rani to want to shoulder this responsibility.
