I am not trying to be insensitive and understand where you are coming from, but it is weird that many here are trying to use this as an attempt to belittle whatever the actresses of today have achieved

Today's actresses can only boast as much they can. In Sri's interview with Vir Sanghvi when asked by Vir on why she was shy and an introvert in giving interviews, her instant reply was she always wanted her work to do the talking. And true enough to her words, she's always let her great body of work to talk for her. RIP Sri, there can be never any one like you.😔

Boney revealed that Sridevi till date doesn't even know what casting couch is. She was born to act and was dedicated to her craft. That's why she became pan Indian superstar with huge following across the nation.

Honestly, Sree is the only actress I have seen who could capture you in one glimpse. One look at her and you wanted to know everything about her. No actor does that now for me.

One thing which I really admire Sridevi for is she was known to be a shy and introvert person in real life but onscreen she could play an extrovert fun loving character with such ease. What an actor! My parents tell me in 80's and 90's people were crazy about her and just her name was enough to pull in the crowd.

No. 1 or not, what Sri has achieved cannot be achieved by any of the current gen stars. You can attribute that to the kinda movies we make today or the current heroines' own acting talents, but it's hard to see another Sridevi or Hema Malini come by. None of them can showcase nuances like how Sri would. They are definitely good, but when you compare them to the amazing actress that Sridevi was, they totally fall short and come across as so bland and meh!
