Stubborn Hearts, Mementos (and Premonitions)
Team Moh Maya everyone... Pretty much on point telling Vedika the mistake she is making and what she is looking for in this marriage she will not find. Not only did she tell Vedika to listen to her heart as she takes her hand places on her heart, and say that she will not get someone like Sahil who loves her like crazy... "Junoon wala pyar", "Sacha Pyar" who loves her passionately and truly. And that if Vedika runs away from this, she will regard losing This Love.
And Maya also messaged Sahil to let him know what was happening as the wedding will be in 4 days. Go Moh Maya!!!
I did like the visual that the light switched off when Gautam was going to put the ring on Vedika (he even had to forcefully take her hand, since she didnt even reach out her hand)... Darkness came upon the house as the light went out, and then The lights came on when Sahil arrived outside the house, he is that very light in Vedika's life, only he can bring that light and happiness, as we all know if she lets him.
Vedika first thought it was her hallucination but nope Sahil is here!
Sahil comes to offer his Congratulations in a heartbreaking way, and mocking way. And seeing them hold hands as well... and instanly Vedika takes her hand away from Gautam Uncle.
Mementos
And then what follows next is such a Intense and heartbreaking scene of Sahil telling her he leaving this city and her life and will not come back... as he steps back by each step abnd turns around, Vedika does raise her hand and he stops, its like he felt it but he goes back to her in returning their memories of their time spent together - The Mementos, as he handed everyone of them back in her hands.
- Vedika's handkerchief - That Vedika left behind in their first Meeting at the Coffee Shop. (i assumed he gave it her back at the theatre)
- Cinema Ticket - Both were at the same comedy movie, one sleeping and the other crying. Where he saw her crying alone in a theatre, as she comes their to be alone.
- Gol Goppa - The tokens, Sahil stole them!
Stubborn Hearts
Stubborn Hearts are what Sahil and Vedika are at the moment.
Like Sahil said... Vedika's on a zidd to seperate him from her house and from her heart! So how can he takes these mememories.
I thought it was good dialogue on why Sahil gave those back, that if he takes these mementos/mempries with him then she will also come with him, and for him it will be much harder to live with so if she can't be his then he cant take her with him.
I like this because it somewhat showed, that he is not forcing Vedika... but in a way letting go, despite how much pain is there.
As he takes his leave again... Vedika's thoughts says, that she has some things and memories of Sahil, which she'll keep with herself as she doesn't want him and the world to
mistake that as Love. Even right now she is STILL denying it and stopping herself.
Maya trying to stop Sahil and begging Vedika too... and cue the slap! Not sure if Vedika deserved that because she is at a crossroads, and fighting within herself BUT she does need her friend on her side, and also her friend to tell her that Sahil is the one for her. So i thought the slap was abit extreme because Vedika is not being stubborn for the sake of it, she has valid reasons. Again Maya is not wrong either in wanting Vedika to accept what she feels and Sahil.
Premonitions
Premonitions for me was the bit where Sahil says he will never come back... and walks backwards... remember that dream that Vedika had Sahil did the same thing. And also in the precap we also know Sahil has a accident by his bike, Vedika also dreamt that Sahil will have some kind of accident. I said these will be Preminitions.
Note - Interestingly Arya was not present any of these scenes, as she went to check the fuse box with her Chacha... Vedika's brother in law from her first marriage.
