EDT~ep. 83~14.2.18 My stance. Twinkle little star..
A child to start with, is a twinkle in its makers eyes. Upon its birth the child becomes a twinkling star in its parents life. All parents desire their child's life twinkles across the sky of life. However some stars lose their twinkle in due course and rather end up as shooting stars across the twilight skies. Becoming an ominous streak of flashing light! across the skies. One broken star!
The three twinkling stars in the story are Sharanya. An only daughter, arrival of a blessed goddess in the Bhist family.There's Shiv an orphan ,more or less a broken star, but for the love of Devi Maa who gave him the twinkle to live on. Shranya's love was a boon, favour and bounty bestowed upon the loner Shiv from Devi Maa. Then there's Vyom who never lacked, lustre, twinkle, glimmer in life. Yet gradually this star shot across the sky blinding eyes with its shimmer. This stars twinkle with its sudden bursts of shooting light many a times split! smashed into countless pieces! Yet silently scattered itself in the dark night! Will its smashed pieces hit someone on earth one day? Probably his parents?
The episode yet again continues with the burdensome heavy theme of insanity or madness in love shifting between past to present. Romance between Shiv and Sharanya is show cased in flashbacks ,offering Valentine day on campus respite.
Vyom's madness however, outrageous and shocking it appears to others, to him it has a defined purpose and rationale to it .Its clear from what we see that Vyom puts in careful forward planning into his deeds. Being in love with Sharanya is not the issue now. Now the underlying purpose for his dangerously insane behaviour is getting Sharanya to respond to his love, for so far Vyom's love is unrequited even after marrying her.
If there's anything, that Vyom fears, its Sharanya finding out the truth about him.His madness once again gets the better of him.The whole scene where he stops Rati from fleeing with Avni to her parents place, shows the extent Vyom can go to using gentle force. He manipulates her emotions, rides upon her maternal insticts by throwing in veiled threats to harming Avni. I would say he even terrorizes the child, and even Madhvi sees him with Avni ,using the child as a pawn to black mail the mother,into shutting her mouth and letting all she knows, go by!
Secrets and questions to which there are no satisfactory answers show up in the episode.Muddy,soiled footprints tells us they belong to Rajan. Rajan's footprints,suggest he may have gone to visit the same venue where Shiv stood,by the lakeside, looking for answers too. The episode also eludes to yet another underwater presence, who draws both Rajan and Shiv, at a specific time. Madhvi for once gears up courage and tells Rajan,that their son has done a fresh killing ,none other than Vidyut ! Rajan shows shock. Is Rati going to press charges against Vyom?? she can, only the sword hanging on Avni's head will give her second thoughts!
Memories of true love ,refresh the soul,body and mind whenever conjured up! Shiv's out of sight,but not out of her mind. Sharanya too nurtures a madness, her passionate, interdependant love for Shiv! The binoculours she stumbles across , are magical. One look through them and she gets transported back in time. How taken in she was by Gulliver Shiv himself. His distant, aloofness attracted her even more to him. he was staid, calm and a gentle giant of few words. Shiv was everythiing that Vyom was not. Sharanya recalls, her enamoured , bessoted looks followed him every where in all seasons! Shiv brought out the wild and unconvential in her.. with him she threw her inhibtions to the winds! Presently he remisces with her and smiles. Only too well he recalls her habit of following him, even in the most private areas.. the boys changing rooms!
Her madness , had rationale to it although, Shiv and the rest of the boys brigade in the changing rooms, took her for being a brazen hussey! Barging into the gents! Her purpose was to present Shiv with sponsers for bike sheds! Being brash and business like , the sharp ,smart Sharanya manipulates Shiv's thanks in the form of being her Romeo in the tragic tale of the stars crossed lovers! Shiv recalls and smiles, yes she was also bold as brass! Then as she is now.. and he was and still is putty in her hands!! Sharanya, recalls those divine campus days ,madly in love days! Not a care inthe world, colour, ballons, music,song and dance and her gentle giant...the space in her heart was empty! When he crept in? She never realized! All she knew, the uninvited guest came and stayed with her forever! Now her heart is filled only with him, no room for anybody else..
But Shiv ,had his madness too. Not stealing another's girl, and certainly not from one hot headed Vyom, who went around threatening to kill anyone who even dared to cast eyes on Sharanya,let alone fall in love with her! Sharanya, time and again reminded Shiv, Vyom was not her boyfriend.. that only Shiv was Sharanya's Romeo! and that was and is final!
Sharanya's madness is prompted now by seeking justice for her beloved killers.. she fights madly for justice. Fairness for her slain true love! Shiv who still fills her empty heart..
The shooting star stirs.. finds Sharanya missing! Fear creeps into him, she is back to poking,prodding,prying into forbidden areas of his life..
By now we know what to expect.. more of Vyom's psychotic turns, in contrast with Shiv/Sharanya's romantic flashbacks. Vikram, Donal and Namik gave strong performances. Going by the impact, eventually Madhvi makes upon Rajan. Rajan inthe precap, lays some revised ground rules before Vyom. Vyom in his frame of mind, takes his fathers stiff words,in one ear out the other. But Rajan threatening to kill Sharanya ,leaves Vyom dangerously insane.. enough to even kill the two people.. who turned him in a twikling little star!now all can see what happens when a star smashes!!
