Padmaavat had a fantastic second weekend of 43.50 crore nett which took its total to 203 crore nett. The film is now the 11th highest grosser of all time and will make more inroads higher in the next few days. The content of the film has worked very well as these sort of collections dont come in second week if the film has not been liked. the controversy has put the collections at a high level in circuits playing and with the film being liked they have held at those highe levels.

Its unlikely the film will get a release in Gujarat, Rajasthan or MP and even if it does it is probably too late now to really do business from these states as its missed two weekends. Mumbai circuit is unreal for the film with 70 crore nett already without Gujarat. The figures in the centers playing it in Mumbai circuit are the highest ever outside Bahubali - The Conclusion over the first ten days. The business of Padmaavat till date is as follows.

First Week - 1,59,50,00,000 apprx

Friday - 9,50,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 15,50,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 18,50,00,000 apprx

Second Weekend - 43,50,00,000 (2 Days)

Grand Total - 2,03,00,00,000

Btw BOI has excluded the 7,5cr nett made from tamil and telugu. So actual domestic nett collection has crossed 210 cr

The film is about the Rajputs..The film would have been rejected in India..if the public didnt feel pride in the way he represented them and If he was unequal to Khilji..who in any case defeated him.

The film would have flopped ..and Karni sena would have been the first to shout.
