Honestly, the film didn't do much for me. But I remember reading the story about a year back for the first time. I had no idea about it and didn't know anything of its end. It totally blew me away - the fact that he finds is her ashes when he conquers the fort was something I couldn't shake off. I wish instead of, showing Khilji chasing the women manically, his comic expressions changing the tone of the scene, Bhansali would have shown us Khilji this.

Also the fact so many women decided to do what they did. Cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it must have been, but surrender wasn't an option for them. Imagine those who were pregnant. Having already lost their husbands, they were about to lose their children they had never set their eyes on.

I agree with the topic starter. The jauhar scene was very impactful and I did see people emotional about it. No wonder this queen was revered by the masses for her ultimate sacrifice. The queen Kept her pride intact while khilji couldn't even see her face let alone possess her. Khilji was invincible and then was killed by his own slave Malik, what a sorry life he had.
