For the past couple of years, the movers and shakers of the film industry were busy convincing us that Ranbir was the next big thing. Though in reality Ranbir had nothing much to show barring some ocassional good performance. But the industry was convinced that he was /is a great actor. And then there is Ranveer who has consistently performed well right from his first movie band baaja . In Dii dhadakane do he was just awesome as the poor little rich boy. But somehow he never got the push or praise that a Ranbir kept getting. I think with his Khilji act Ranveer has left Ranbir far behind. I can't think of any other actor who could have pulled off that character with just the right amount of camp. Hopefully now at least we will hear that ranveer is very good instead of the drumbeat of Ranbir being the second coming of ..,

tbh i dont compare rs to rk, rs is getting appreciated for his performance by even people who r not from the industry, even the founder of vine praised him and he is a non indian, so its fine if people call rk the next big superstar etc, rs is just doing his own thing and growing in his own way, if people wanna call rk a better actor or a bigger star that doesnt bother me, coz rs is doing well in his own work and thats all that matters, he doesn't need to get that extra push from the industry, rs's work is naturally getting appreciation

here is the tweet from the founder of vine

People are finally starting to see how mediocre Ranbir is

One note. Always wants to find himself 😆 😆

Achcha.Let's see where Ranveer goes from here. After BM,Befikre happened.Hope the history doesn't repeat. Why is a flop actor like Ranbir always the benchmark for these wannabe next superstars though😕

You are right observer.
Ranbir is a good actor , but not always, his best was tamasha and rockstar( even in that , he did a little OTT)

Ranveer even though he is cousin of Arjun Kapoor , he was never considered star kid and no one looked twice.. but consistently , due to his performances , Industry is forced to sit up and take notice of him.

He is a director's dream , because he literally over works himself.

I don't OPs post said anywhere Ranbir is benchmark

Just that people in industry were hyping him. Now even that seems gone 😆

hits and flops are a part of every actors career, just coz an actor gets flops it doesnt mean they have ended, and i'm sure rk will also bounce back with the right film, both rs and rk deserve to be in the industry, they r very talented, and the industry is big enough for both of them, one does not need to trample over the other, one does not need to be the winner and the other the loser, they both can do well

well..whenever a new movie comes out there is always threads made on how X,Y,Z actor left Ranbir far behind. Why?Because Ranbir MATTERS.That's what kept Salman relevant when he was giving back to back disasters.

People in industry are doing the same with Ranveer. It's just too late now...

Are we still doing this?
Off topic he's NOT Arjun's cousin. Not Sonam's first cousin.
