Varun Dhawan & Alia Bhatt to reunite in Karan Johar's 'Shiddat'?

After an exciting lineup of movies in recent past like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Alia Bhatt will be seen in 'Raazi', 'Gully Boy' with Ranveer Singh and 'Brahmastra' opposite Ranbir Kapoor this year. However, buzz is that the actress will also be seen in Karan Johar's 'Shiddat', oppsoite Varun Dhawan.

Alia Bhatt shared a video on Instagram and captioned it saying, ''#SECRETLOOKTEST, The legends at work.'' In the video, ace designer Manish Malhotra and makeup stylist Mickey Contractor are also seen having some conversation. This hinted that Alia has started giving look tests for Shiddat. Sometime back, Varun had also posted a video on social media, where he was seen at Karan Johar's office, with Shiddat written on a white-board around. The actor was seen with Abhishek Varman, who is reportedly directing the film and Shashank Khaitan. If Varun and Alia do the film, this will be them pairing up for the fourth time.

However, both Alia and Varun have denied working in 'Shiddat'
earlier when asked about it. They had said, "Who told you that? I don't know about such movie." The movie is slated to star Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi in pivotal roles. However, no official announcement has been made on the same. Apparently, Varun and Aditya will be seen playing brothers in the film and Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi are most likely to play their parents. The film is said to be set during the India-Pakistan partition period.
