Just last week, we told you how extravagant VFX work is messing with the release dates of many films. The latest example of this is Dharma Productions' Drive starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film has been postponed from its initial release date of March 2, due to pending visual effects work.

Rumour has it that the next film to fall prey to VFX delays is Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika Queen Of Jhansi. Being a period drama, the movie is loaded with visual effects. The film was supposed to come out on April 27 but it is believed to have now been moved to August. Ever since news of this got around, the trade has been wondering whether Manikarnika Queen Of Jhansi will clash with YRF's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar on August 3 or Akshay Kumar's GOLD on August 15. Or will the makers play safe and hit cinemas between these big releases? Guess we will have to wait and watch till the official announcement is made.

This is old news. Manikarnika was postponed long back. 2.0 also postponed to August. Both movies might clash on Independence day.
