EDT~ ep. 73~31.1.18 Safety net to escape pain or to receive it?
By now Sharanya is astute enough to realize she is in the heat of battle riddled by deceptive people. Shiv, time and again reminds her be vigilant against sudden or open skirmishes. Shiv's briefing is her first safety net that ensures her protection. By now Sharanya has enough clues against Vyom to deduce that she most certainly has to ad lib her mannerisms, her speech, like a safety net to guard herself from Vyom seeing through her! The episode deals with her emotional breakdown in keeping safe from Vyom. All that forces her to act up to dupe him. The excruciating pain she has to go through with.The suffering she endures on seeing the pain she inflicts upon Shiv by her use of her safety net.
Shiv's presence is her strongest security net. Madhvi hurling glass at Sharanya is a clue from Madhvi to alert Sharanya there is a cctv camera installed above the looking glass! Shiv's eyes turn noir! when he misinterprets Madhvi's throw. Once Sharanya clarifies the presence of an eye in Madhvi's bedroom. Shiv points out to Sharanya , the culprit lives in fear! Which also confirms that Madhvi does know who killed Shiv. Sharanya works out that seems the whole family knows and throws a big safety net for Shiv's killer! But for Sharanya it's to find out what exactly is Vyom hiding?
The scene where Vyom creeps up on Sharanya !Of recent he pops up and catches on to her posing questions in space and thus plays on her questions. Sharanya pulls on her safety net with her extempore that consoles him and he retreats emotionally victorious. She uses the word hide with great flare! compliments how he deftly hides his pain! Despite all the hurt he suffers due to current events. Vyom warms to her caring touches and sincere words and returns her compliment. Her manner provides his strength and stamina in bearing pain. He embraces her and she obliges to ward of his suspicion. For Vyom its a great moment to work up casting the magic of his persevering love upon Sharanya. Shiv watches bemused ,adds humour to the scene at first, how easily Sharanya befools the love torn fool! But soon his amusement turns into a sharp stab in his heart! Sharanya, although clasped against Vyom's chest, senses the anguish her compromise causes Shiv. How her spirit cringes ,her palms fold in profound aching.. ohh! the acts she has to undergo to make it look all good and sweet! For the prowler Vyom !
Denunciation of a fake marriage! There is only so much Sharanya can take! Once content and assured of her love Vyom leaves. Sharanya's whole being is repulsed by her vulnerability which forces her to pull a safety net for personal safety. Smashing her red bangles synonymous with marriage and husband against the dresser is her knee jerk reaction of being reviled by her forced act. She has a tirade! Denounces her marriage vehemently! Calls it fake ,unreal and a total fake reality! She goes into a frenzied self harming assault upon herself! Bangs! punishes herself for her nearness with Vyom. The more past intimate interaction with Vyom crops up within her mind, the more she bangs her wrist black and blue!! Shiv knows her frenzy well! He went through its cruel motions as well! He tries to reason , they are the culprits!!they should be the one to suffer! Not her! the sight of her cut bloody wrists! lacerates his heart too! Helplessly he tries to cover the dresser with his hands to shield her from further harm ,but her injured wrists just go through! The pain that travels from one to the other! is similar on both sides. Yet its this pain that connects their souls, that the laws of nature too cannot crack! The angish he goes through by seeing her self hurt ,rolls as a silent tear down Shiv's overgrown stubborn jaw. How they compare their pain.With tears, Sharanya confesses the connection of the heart is the biggest strength, while a forced connection is the highest form of pain which one suffers.. the pain she undergoes with Vyom! Shiv protests, at the sight of wounded wrists, and she herself adds more smarting for her self.. but Sharanya cries apologetically .surely her self harm cuts him up more than it pains her. How true lovers know each others pain? only serves to cause further pain! They find communion and partaking in each other's pain.. it enables them! rather than debilitate them!
So it was in the past too. That moment, when she receives a bouquet of roses from an unknown sender. How she had assumed her secret admirer was the tall, dark, broody Shiv.. saying sorry with flowers! How in her giddiness she had tripped clumsily over the bunch of roses! His strong hands stood her up then!as they do even now.. how he had yelled at her to be still! As he does so now too.. nothing has changed.. if at all, distance makes their undefined bond stronger. Except Shiv remarks regretfully ,the difference is he was alive then, only now he is her shadow.
Love or faade? Rajan's get well soon and rather sudden renewal of love for his wife Madhvi takes both Madhvi and viewers by surprise. Is this shown of affection sincere or an act? Maybe he figures out ? since she knows the truth, and may blurt it out too, its best he keeps her emotionally satisfied? let his romantic reminder to her ,be his safety net against what she knows!
Shiv looks at the broken pieces of glass bangles equated with Vyom's name. The sight of her bloody wrists, transports him to the past where his roses of love, make her trip and give her thorns in her flesh! Its like his whole persona, who killed him? Continues to prick her with painful thorns. He was her balm then as he is now too. That day he recalls with fondness, he did fall for her! Discreetly he stole her bangle and slipped it in his back pocket.. He needed to carry a bit of her with himself, as being away from her just might be painful for his heart. As Sharanya's bangle even then, like now, is full circle of their love It is a love complete whichever world it manifests itself into!
Its her pain like before that gets to him now too. If nothing else he holds her bleeding palms and tenderly with his fingers, with a swift movement as if by numbing magic! Shiv cauterizes her wounds with his frozen fingers. Barely feeling her ..she winces at his frozen feel.. He mumbles sorry! Must have hurt. Sharanya matches his stamina at dealing with pain,and retorts, she remembers well his lessons..one must know how to deal with pain, her learning is underway now!
Once more, Sharanya has to pull onto her safety net! Rajan barges in and whether his concern for her injured wrists is fake or real? But its clear to me the tall tales she tells about how her bangles broke, rings alarm bells for Rajan . Vyom is called by Rajan to do his caring husband farce. But Vyom yet seizes the moment to win Sharanya over by inflicting pain upon himself to share in her pain!!
If only Vyom can understand that true lovers pain is symbolized by their distance. A pain felt and marked by a separation that eternity seals between them. A soul felt ache of forever being far apart... such is Shiv/Sharanya's saga of love! .. hamlet53 1.2.18
