The year 2017 failed to deliver ten clean hit films which last happened in 2010 and had 18 successful releases out of 240 plus releases. On top the biggest blockbuster Bahubali - The Conclusion was not really a product of the Hindi film industry. This film emerged one of the greatest blockbusters of all time selling 5.25 crore tickets in Hindi at the box office and then smashing every single record on television.
The year was heading for a bit of a disaster but the big HITS did come towards the end of the year which saved it somewhat. Tiger Zinda Hai, Golmaal Again, Judwaa 2, Toilet Ek Prem Katha and Fukrey Returns all come in the last 4-5 months and along with Badrinath Ki Dulhania were the six big HITS from the Hindi film industry in 2017.
