Where are the debut awards for Filmfare?

Where are they?

i haven't come across those..

esp when there were some kickass female debuts like saba in hindi medium..or sajal in mom

did they scrap the entire category coz a pakistani was winning those?

so what they wouldn't be there to receive it..at least they should have been awarded..some one else would have picked it for them..

unfair..if thats the case

coz it is only this time i see no debut award winners announced thus far..

Parvathy could have won for Quarib Quarib Single too

I think they don't want trouble of choosing between Sara-Jhanvi in next awards, so they scrapped from this year 😆

Even the categories like Villian and Comedy are missing since a few years.

Mahira, Saba and Sajal - too many Pakistanis and they would have to award one of them. I guess they didn't want to run into trouble by awarding a Pakistani. *rolls eyes*

RR those categories were scrapped since ages but debut is only this year

the debut award had saba qamar written all over it

qarib qarib was a disaster and hardly anyone saw it..the girl was just okay..but no match to saba qamar's gigantic talent and hindi medium BO..i say BO coz we all know that matters in awards regardless of how much jitesh denies it 😆

this is just unfair..

They nominated Fawad for K & S at the time when everyone was avoiding it. So I guess this Pakistani actor argument doesn't hold ground for Filmfare

well he would have won an award if the situation was better

he was praised to the skies for it

rather they put in in supporting actor nomination..

he was the main lead..

he would have won critics award for best actor if situation was better for sure

i feel it is related to india-pak sensitive situation for sure..

this year had a pakistani actress winning it without a doubt and they scrapped the entire category the same year

we will see how this one is back when industry girls like sara and jhanvi will debut..

CT - If Debut awards are back next year, the answer to your question would be "Pakistani" and if they are not back, my guess would be right.

They nominated Saba too in Best actress category.

But nominating is one thing and giving the award is another.

Hindi Medium won best film, Irrfan won best actor, Saba was nominated for Best actress. So if they had the category, she would definitely have to be awarded. By scrapping the award this year, they didn't have to award her anymore.

Are you kidding, of course they'd be back. Lot of star kids debuting this year, Jahnvi, Sara Ali Khan, Ishaan Khatter etc are debuting.
