Virat Kohli's special gesture for wife Anushka Sharma in Centurion

India skipper Virat Kohli stamped authority with the bat in Centurion against South Africa when he went past 150-run mark in the second session of Day 3. Kohli completed his 150 with a boundary off fast bowler Morne Morkel. The Indian captain celebrated the milestone with a sweet gesture as he kissed the wedding ring. Kohli had got married to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma in December last year in Italy and the couple later revealed the news on social media.

India were eventually bowled out for 307 after Morkel scalped Kohli's wicket to concede a 28-run lead. He was undone for 153. Apart from Kohli, opener Murali Vijay and R Ashwin showed resistance against a formidable South African bowling line up. Vijay scored 46 while Ashwin was out for 38. This is Virat's 21st hundred in the longer format.

Earlier, the visiting team resumed third day's play at 183/5 with Kohli and Pandya at the crease. The two batsmen looked steady before Pandya got run out for 15, courtesy a casual attitude from Pandya while running between the wickets. Pandya didn't drag his bat in the crease and Vernon Philander was accurate enough to dislodge the stumps.

Ashwin who came in at number 6 took on the attack and chipped in with valuable 38. For South Africa, it was Morkel who returned with figures of 4/60 in first innings. India already trail the three-match Test series 0-1 after they lost the first

The gesture was endearing and all but am just so glad he played well. So much for being a flat track bully. His selections have been little iffy this time but he took responsibility and lead from the front while the rest of them crumbled and made one mistake after another. A friend of mine insists all this is intelligent PR (the gestures i mean) and I tell her I really don't care 😆 People like Virat precisely because of this temperament and dedication to the game. He might do a million mistakes and yet he owns it and performs on the field. His love life is irrelevant at that point. Of course some of his gestures are endearing but that's a very small part of what makes Virat Kohli tick for his fans. Damn I think I ended up writing an essay 😆

Took inspiration from Rohit Sharma I guess who dedicated his brilliant 200 run innings to his wife on their anniversary.
He kissed the wedding ring and dedicated it to her.

KOHLI did well at Centurion😃

precisely ... the flat track bully debate and troll was just to ridiculous actually to begin with . He freaking has same no of centuries and almost same avg in overseas and home ground . But yeah suer glad he played that was most important and needed one . Leading fromthe front totally and once again silencing his critics and showing why he is where he is !!!! , wish his team mates rather batsman would have supported him . So far it has been all bowlers show .

It's actually funny how he is called a flat track bully who can only perform at home the moment he fails. Virat is the only Indian skipper apart from Sachin who has scored a century in SA and he has equal number of centuries away from home (in fact one more than his centuries at home if am not wrong). He might not satisfy the textbook definition of class but you gotta be blind to not realise how dedicated he is to the sport. And yeah Rohit needs to go. He is not made for Test cricket at this point. I really hope we get to see Rahane at least in the next match. This is why I can't stand Ravi Shastri. He is so ill equipped and am pretty sure nods his head to everything Virat says 😆
