Why Aamir booked Diwali for TOH???

Everyone knows that the most of Aamir's recent movies have released on Christmas and done record breaking collection, so why this time Aamir and YRF are coming on Diwali for TOH?????

Because SRK had announced Zero for Christmas 2018 first

SRK left Eid 2016 for YRF. Now YRF doesn't wants to create more trouble for SRK again. So Adi Chopra must have asked Aamir to take the Diwali date. But this might be a problem for TOH. Christmas works for Aamir because it gives him a one-month free run, which is good for his content films with strong WOM. TOH will get a bumper opening, but Victor being the director and lack of open weeks might be roadblock in Aamir giving his sixth ATHG. One can vouch for content since Aamir is there, but this movie might not be that big of a Hit like Dangal and PK because of the release date. I think TOH if turns out to be a great movie, then it'll edge past PK, but will fail to beat Dangal.

Maybe adi compromised on fatima and aamir on diwali

Film was rumored for a while throughout 2016. Aamir confirmed it in September when Christmas 2018 was taken but 2017 was free. Maybe the film needed some time to complete so 2017 was out of the question. An if Christmas is taken then comes Diwali. There was EID but that means summer 2018 and maybe the film needed a long time to be shot.

Thugs is an action adventure film. And I am thinking it will have good visuals. If it turns out to be fun like Pirates of the Caribbean, it will do good business in Diwali. I hope people are not expecting some movie with some message in it! This one is pure entertainment- at least that's what I think.
