I'd add directors and producers too. From the directors - Hirani, Kjo, Rohit Shetty. From the producers - Kjo, Sajid Nadiadwala, RW friendly producers KriArj and T-Series.

People wrote her off and here she is signing more and bigger movies than her peers. And maybe RK, no amount of flops affect his star standing or deter directors from signing him on

These two are survivors, not invincible. Or else their low buzz movies would have worked. Whereas VD, Aloo, DP worked in movies written off as no-hopers, but those movies worked.

^^ Dear Zindagi and Udta worked, whatever the reasons were but they worked. Her movie with Imtiaz wasn't a flop, it did above average business. Even Shaandar's opening was great.

I know they are above 40. Added Above 40 tag so that people don't take only two Khans and one Kumar's name. Her friendship with Smriti might help her but she can't save her big budget movies because her relationship with media and social media stars isn't as good as Kjo's.

Cant count any of DZ or UP. Highway also was overhyped and was a flop. KJo's connections saved her and made her an award winning actress. Shandaar also was helped by media attention due to Vikas' next outing after Queen and also Dushera. I would credit Alia more for 2 States and HSKD/BKD. These films I think she proved her mettle more than films like UP or Highway. But these were well promoted commercial films backed by KJo again. I guess Alia's 'test' will be Raazi but then even Raazi is bhakt friendly theme which is working well nowadays for Akshay and might work for Raazi too.

I guess that leaves only KJo and Sajid but even KJo hasnt been able to save his low buzz movies.

Even Varun's movies work because no one clashes with his movies, not only do they not clash with him but they even give him an open 2nd week. Two open weeks + Kjo's friends on social media promoting the movie give him the edge over others.
