This is beautiful! Loved it! And the song is just perfect. Suits the situation perfectly.You have portrayed Avni's thoughts and emotions so beautifully that it breaks my heart. A deep pain creeps up holding my heart in a strangulating grip. The pain is so raw. I wish the CVs would have shown Neil being a bit more considerate towards Avni's feelings. While I do understand his concerns regarding her safety (or at least I try to understand), his detached reaction towards her hurt and anger is very unsettling. I want him to understand the extend to which he broke her in a bid to save her. I want him to understand the impacts his actions had on her psyche. But I doubt we would get to see any of that in the show. I just don't want Avni forgive him immediately after knowing the reason behind his actions. I want her to express her hurt in front of him.
You successfully showed Neil's pain and helplessness in the last paragraph. I feel for him too. But he has to work hard to earn forgiveness and to bring back the old Avni from the shadow in front of him. It would be difficult, but he will have to hold on to his last ray of hope.
