GST is goods and service tax and everyone has to pay gst which is included in goods.Basically taxes have increased in India after gst has been implemented since extra money is paid which is included in MRP on goods and even on services I hope its clear.😃

Yeah I am aware of what GST is. It has existed in my country for much longer! But goods and services tax is incooperated into everything. Even though in an invoice it shows seperatly all RRP of products include GST. Normally people don't have to pay GST seperatly. Only if you are GST registered as in a company or a sole trader you have to pay GST as part of your annual taxes. Most individuals only pay income tax.

That is why I asked if rules differ in India. As this is how it works in my country.

Here we had our GST increased from 12.5% to 15% some 3 years ago. That is a big hike. People were mad at first but we lived with it! As you must! Lol. You never win arguments with the tax man. I had experienced this through some issues faced by my clients! So my advice when it comes to tax is "Just pay it coz the alternative is not a fun one!! If they decide to audit you, it's a tedious experience!
