Good post.
That burning her hand thing was down right creepy and crazy..that was also extremely filmy too...but then I feel she is inspired by Ek Duje Ke Liye or something..these kinda movies had a huge influence on teens in that generation..I definitely think Naina went too far in burning her hand..harming oneself in love, that too for something so basic..where Sameer got burnt accidentally by no fault of hers..I almost saw a glimpse of stalkerish obsession like SRK from Darr..Notwithstanding all of this above, I still love Naina the most amongst all the characters..maybe CVs purposely focused on this as one last mad act in love from Naina,..because anytime now the bet thing will be out soon..and her heart will be broken with double the intensity..and she will reflect back on how stupid she has been..and this will mean a lot more work for Sameer to manaao herAbout her bringing Sameer into her room..IDK, lets see how it actually plays out today..but it really seems lesser of a crime compared to her burning her hand for now😕

There were many good things to take home from today's episode. There was an example set by Principal sir that men-women should distribute their work and understand each other's hardships...As Naina said it's all about SAAJEDAARI in relationship.
Then there was also another seekh by Shaanti teacher and Principal sir about being grateful for food which was also a nice lesson...Overall it was a smooth simple episode...Also there was heartfelt and yet strong letter by Arjun to Shefali...But the question in my mind is How far has Naina's character gone into this relationship!? How much appropriate it was of the CVs to show Naina burning her hand in order to understand his "PAIN"...Yes, I know many of you would say that people do stupid things in love, plus she is in her teens...if so then don't you think she has gone a lot ahead in love? Till now her love for Sameer was shown by her care...by cooking for him, saving him from Safari suit, by knitting for him, by giving him her share of meal, by identifying his talent and bringing it in front of everyone, and even again today sharing her meal...All these instances were relatable, beautiful and received well by the audience...But is the character going too far to understand the difference between right and wrong? Has the character forgotten that it is not acceptable for a guy to get into a girl's room especially when her roommate is sleeping. How much appropriate was it of Naina-Sameer to not inform Swati at least about Sameer being in the room?Yes there have been many movies/shows in the past where such things have happened, but do the teens of 90s go to such an extent? Would it be wrong of Safari suit (a 90s father not to forget) to scold her and create a scene out of it?Again I agree that she did all of this out of care for Sameer, as he was cold and couldn't stay out all night...But is it justified of Naina to do all this? How far does a sensible person go in love?P.S: This is a genuine doubt I have got, it's not a post where I intend to bash the show in anyway. Neither am I a person like Naina's Taiji who is regressive in any matters of love. This episode has somewhat left me a tad-bit confused and hence I expect some good justifications from you all... I am still as much a fan of YUDKBH just like you all...

@Santiago24 and @mily_mathew : That is something which even I had in my mind since past few weeks...Naina seems to be a bit selfish ...may be on her feelings for Sameer...She is less concerned about Swati, Preeti...May be every person has a phase in life when he ignores/less concerned for other people for that one special person ...But yes she way too much in love for Sameer...it is a dialogue from a Pakistani tele seial BEHADD- Koi bhi jazba hadd se zyada badh jaaye toh nuksaan dene lagta hai, chahe woh mohabbat hi kyun naa ho...

I cant digest some scenes even if im from 2017. 1st self harm is a definitely no, it shouldnt even be shown on a teen show watched by youths who will think its a cool thing. 2nd underage drinking is illegal and not something to be shown on a youth show. 3rd I put my self in naina's position and asked myself whether i will let a boy sleep in my room i share with my room mate, the answer i can come up with is no but if i do permission from my room mate is 100% necessary.
Even the 2017 me cant digest and accept any of this. this show always puts down our generation yes we might be into technology stuff now but our morals are still the same as those of the 90s kids.

Nice post and discussions.
Naina is a passionate person according to me. Be it studies or her love for Bollywood or her love for her family, she does it with a passion. So her love for Sameer should be in those lines too.But there is a thin line between passion and obsession. She burning her hands crossed that line into obsession. And not to forget many young people watch such shows. The makers should keep in mind that such scenes should not encourage younger audience to think it is cool to be doing such extreme actions.Regarding her bringing Sameer into her room, I found it a bit weird. They could have knocked on any other boy's room and give him a place to crash. What about that 4th boy in their group. He could have let Sameer in.Assuming that she did ask Sameer to sleep in her room, if someone knocks on the door, should they be not more careful before opening the doors, Like hide him under the bed of behind the curtains etc etc.She has seen infinite Hindi movies right, use some ideas from those movies.Aakhir itna Hindi movies dekhne ka kuch to use honichahiye

Nice topic for discussion..I think Naina is by now so madly in love that she has completely lost all sense of reality and an awareness of people around her.It is not about right and wrong actually...She is just so lost that she doesn't realise the magnitude of her actions or the impact it can have..She is after all just a teenager and is experiencing these feelings for the first time..To top it all,she always lives in a dream world...So she is just doing what she feels like doing at the spur of the moment and is completely letting her heart dictate her actions. If she herself thought about it logically for sometime she would realise that she is wrong or going too far,but sometimes in love the most intelligent people do the stupidest of things and that is what Naina is doing.I think it never crossed her mind to inform or not inform Swati..She was just so overwhelmed by her love for Sameer(as she has been for sometime now).To answer your last question, almost no girl of the 90s would do that unless she was crazily madly hopelessly in love..basically hardly any girl would have done this.It would be perfectly logical for her father to create a scene out of his..most parents would have lost it...Answer to your last question:How far does a sensible person go in love?I think one can either be sensible or in love..The two don't go hand in hand😆😆
