Ranveer Singh to star in Bhansali's next

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has already moved on. While the future of Padmavati is to be decided after the Gujarat elections, Sanjay is already planning his next directorial venture, a love story set in contemporary times.

A source close to the development says, "There was some talk earlier of SLB working with Shahid Kapoor. It now seems unlikely that he will cast Shahid. In all likelihood, it's going to be Ranveer Singh in Sanjay's next.

After three period dramas, the duo wants to do something in the contemporary zone. This will be Ranveer's fourth film with Sanjay after Goliyon Ki Raas Leela Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and now, Padmavati. The source adds, "Ranveer and Sanjay have already discussed their next project together. It's a subject that the filmmaker has nurtured for a very long time.
