The YRF spy universe has found itself at the centre of fresh chatter. This time, it’s not about high-octane action but about a reported clash between Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol on the sets of Alpha. While there has been no official word from the actors or the studio, the whispers have certainly grabbed attention.

Creative Differences Spark On-Set Tension?

According to a report by 123 Telugu, disagreements surfaced during the shoot of Alpha. The buzz suggests that Alia, known to be deeply involved in her performances, was offering creative suggestions during scenes, including portions featuring Bobby.

Sources claim that the senior actor was not entirely comfortable with these inputs. What reportedly began as professional differences is said to have slowly turned into visible tension on set. Though neither side has addressed the claims, the speculation hints that the atmosphere grew strained enough to affect the filming process.

Aditya Chopra Steps In

According to reports, producer Aditya Chopra had to personally intervene to smooth things over and ensure the shoot continued without further disruption. The project is an important one for Yash Raj Films, especially as it marks the first female-led action film in their spy universe.

At the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah last year, Alia herself spoke about the risks associated with Alpha. She acknowledged that large-scale action franchises have traditionally been male-driven and expressed hope that this film would break that pattern.

The OTT Rumours and Release Delay

Adding to the drama are fresh claims about the film’s release strategy. A report by Deccan Chronicle suggested that after the underperformance of Mardaani 3 and the lukewarm response to War 2, the studio may be reconsidering a big-screen release for Alpha. Some reports even claimed that the film could head for a direct OTT premiere, with Alia reportedly opposing the move. However, there has been no confirmation regarding this development.

What is official, though, is the change in release date. Initially planned for Christmas 2025, Alpha has now been pushed to April 17, 2026. The studio stated that the VFX work requires additional time to deliver the film at its best cinematic scale.
