Ok, I knew the rape scene was coming but I'm still deeply disturbed! The episode has left me with a gamut of mixed emotions.

And no, unlike most on this forum, who're too concerned about "who did it", I'm only and only concerned about the havoc it must've created a havoc on my poor Sharanya! 😭 😭

It's funny how I am yet to see a post in a forum mostly consisting of women even uttering a few words of sympathy towards Sharanya, let alone make a post on it. After all, she's just a dumb little girl who is obsessed with a man's safety- guess she doesn't deserve that. 😊

Anyway, as I've said earlier, the episode left me amazed with a hell lot of emotions. There's little doubt that Vyom was indeed possessed by the end of it- I do remember LSD sharing a pic of Vyom, still in his Haldi outfit and sitting on Rab's shoulders, trying to twist his neck. And also articles of Vyom's possession coming out and him trapping Shanny in a water tank. It was a very clever trick played by the director and the writer to transition the scene in such a way that it ended with Vyom talking about ending up doing something wrong out of frustration towards Sharanya and beginning with him turning around, looking like he's about to kill and ACTUALLY doing something very very wrong!

It took me really long to get over the episode and trying to appreciate DoVik for being so absolutely amazing throughout the episode!

In all honesty, I've seldom watched a rape scene this intensely disturbing on any of the Indian shows I've watched so far! This was R-Rated stuff w/o being R-Rated. 😳

Technically speaking, most of these rape scenes (and trust me there are many) on Indian shows choose to tone it down by showing shots of the rapist from below (signifying the victim) and then shots of the victim from above (signifying the rapist). I dunno Prateek square ko kya sooja and they chose to shoot a scene like this with close-ranged long shots. It was not just disturbing, but also visceral!

And by God, Vikram's eyes scared the hell outta me!

I don't know how will Sharanya get out of this trauma and just suddenly decide to marry Vyom by hook or by crook. At this point, I want someone to comfort her. Vyom is out of question right now, but koi toh ho, who'll give her a shoulder to cry on! 😭

On wednesday when the precap aired for the first time, I was very clear that this was a disgusting ploy because no girl in her nightmare would ever imagine her groom raping her 2 days prior their wedding, it is not only traumatizing but disturbing too thinking that someone you have loved and someone who claims to love you have put you through this. Poor Sharanya is very delicate too, and her blind trust on Vyom and feeling protected when he is with her just took a back seat tonight. We have seen how since she recovered from coma, she has never hesitated herself or about her safety when she was with Vyom, she could literally be with him anywhere and believe that nothing will happen to her, so I think tonight there was a difference. I do not know how will she survive it and indeed realize that he was NOT her Vyom but someone else, because as the wedding has proceeded, it is quite clear that Sharanya knows and trusts Vyom's intentions, she definitely will not marry someone who wanted to rape her, thus soon she will understand that Vyom is possessed.
Coming to the creepy ghost, i do not have a ounce of a doubt that it is indeed him who has done this to tarnish Vyom's image in front of Sharanya, he tried to scare her and then kill Vyom, but nothing worked so now he has stooped to a rape attempt which is terrible given he is supposed to be a legendary lover who was "perfect'' and passionate ..

Vyom is a darling, he is indeed the only one who puts his heart above everything, and the glow he had with the joy of getting Sharanya made me so hopeful about VaNya and their dynamics. They trust each other so much, he does not care about her losing the engagement ring and she does not care when ''he'' tries to molest her and indeed they support each other knowing or feeling that their is a 3rd force who is doing all these to create a misunderstanding. I honestly feel bad for Vyom, if he is possessed then he will not remember anything but yet face the wrath of the family for the heinous action, if he remembers then it will kill himself to imagine that he did something so awful with his Sharanya, i hate CVs for doing this, there has not been a moment where VaNya could breath peacefully, like come on they are unaware of so many things and still support each other so much, give them a break.

If this sequence is just a nightmare then damn you CVS for putting us through this.

Kudos to Prateek, Vikram and Donal.. Fabulous job tonight, Vikram really deserves an applause for the vivid and subtle transition of one character to another, very few actors can carry this out with so much perfection and edge. Donal seems to be too comfortable with Vikram, and both indeed shares a common comfort zone to play the rape scene aesthetically and with so much conviction that it leaves you disturbed with the high impact it has. Last but not the least, thank you director and producer prateeks, a good episode and so much for VaNya, makes me smile like a happy fan.

Hey Shells!!!

I haven't watched the episode, But on the point of no post being made re the effect on Sharanya, yes there has been no specific post on It, but I have seen posts where people are questioning the need of the scene, why showing a scene where a man is overpowering a woman. Many are actually complaining about the need of it...

Why does Sharanya continue with the wedding? Is it cos she thinks it's not Vyom? I'm curious about that. How does she deal with this? Now that they have shown this, I hope they show it properly and move on with the story!

The scene pretty much clarified my doubts about Prateek. He is a very very poor and uncreative writer/maker. Whether Vyom did or Shiv. Weather it was a dream or reality. It was in a very terrible taste. And the long shots made it clear the so called producer just wanted to sensationalize the scene. Basically that is what happens when the writer who worked on s omething as bad as saathiya makes a thriller. It's plain sad such desperate measures have to be taken to get trps and grab eyeballs.

@Sundas You know, I was always prepared for a not-so-normal-love story b/w VaNya since this is a thriller and we know there are too many skeletons in the closet and a vengeful spirit trying to disrupt everything they have. I, like many VaNya fans would love to see some uninterrupted clarity on the two characters, followed with a heart-to-heart conversation regarding themselves and each other.

But I was prepared for not being able to see such stuff b/w them for some time.

What I wasn't prepared for was this. Watching your favourite couple being engaged in such a disgusting act!

It is secondary as to whether it was intentional or not, primary is the impact- on the viewers and Sharanya's character!

I wouldn't waste my words on Shiv's character. So I'll just directly come to Vyom. What VanYa needs right now is proper communication. ASAP.

Vyom is covering for Sharanya blindly but he's not ready to believe her side of the story regarding Shiv. He needs to realise that a girl won't be constantly scared w/o rhyme or reason. And Sharanya needs to drop this protective Mommy attitude. She needs to tell him about the hospital incident (Vyom himself was suspicious about his health declining so bad in the ICU)- he cannot dismiss that as her imagination, he had suffered it first hand! They need to have a serious conversation regarding everything!

I do feel like Vyom wouldn't be knowing/remembering about what transpired in tonight's episode, if he does, there's every chance that he'll try to kill himself again. He can go to extremes when it comes to defending Sharanya, imagine him knowing about something so disgusting he did with Sharanya without having any control over it- he'll go bonkers!

But right now, I'm not worried about it. All I need to see is Sharanya finding some solace to cope with her trauma.

Okay, I forgot to mention in my post that it is possible not a dream or nightmare since in the precap Sharanya was bruised and shattered, that means she did go through this.. Makes me feel terrible now :|
Vyom is gayab, seems like his possessed self has ran away from the marriage to ditch Sharanya in the altar, there will 10 odd episodes now from Sharanya misunderstanding Vyom to learning that Vyom is not responsible.

I feel like it wouldn't be about what she thinks, because till next episode, for some time at least, she'll think it was Vyom. Maybe it'd be Sadhavi or something that'd make her believe that it wasn't Vyom.

I too am wondering as to what was the need for such a scene, unless the CVs want to establish that Shiv was one seriously effed up character!

VaNya are not pitch perfect characters and currently the spectrum of their thoughts and perceptions are different, Vyom thinks life is a bed of rose and he has achieved everything since Sharanya is with him, on the other hand Sharanya thinks this marriage will save Vyom and save her from the past skeletons too. The only common ground is that both of them are scared to lose each other and fear that they will fail to protect each other.

I understand Vyom's frustration that he cannot see anyone insulting sharanya and thus covering all her mistakes, yes it is a huge thing and a bad omen to lose your wedding ring, I have seen that happen with my cousin too but thankfully she found her one after few days, our society just does not accept a girl losing her engagement ring or wedding jewelries, no wonder Sharanya's parents stood there like silent fools instead of defending her and waited for Vyom to make a move.
Sharanya is naive, she really believes that Vyom can be convinced easily regarding the ghost being thirsty for his blood, well if sharanya would say that ghost is after her then may be Vyom would at least try and care, but he definitely does not think some ghost will be after his precious life for no reason, as you said instead of being so frightened and protective for Vyom, sharanya better thinks something else, at least talk to him when they are not surrounded by the family and friends.

I liked how the writers have kept Vyom somewhat real, if he would believe aout the ghost immediately then that would be unreal too, but then since he loves and trusts sharanya so much, he better starts dissecting her words, if not now then at least after learning that he attempted to rape her. I cannot explain to you that how terrible I am feeling after watching the precap, this should not happen with anyone, man or woman, sexual assault is the worst possible crime to happen with a living soul.

Shells my question is why will Vyom believe that he attempted to rape sharanya? he might also think that out of nowhere sharanya is putting a false allegation right? Because according to him, if he forgets his possessed self (which he will) then why would any sane man even tend to believe or agree a sudden rape allegation on him that too on his bride? It does not even sound logical from a normal perspective. But then why would sharanya falsely accuse him? Vyom definitely has a huge exam to pass on, I do not want him to fail here, because it is not only about him but it is also about sharanya's trust on him, if she wants to marry him even after this rape attempt then he must be something special and he has to prove it with his actions too, whereas i also hope sharanya consoles him if he is shattered with the whole fiasco, they need each other more than anyone else now.

Last para I don't think I agree. From what I read, Shiv wasn't around, he was around Odhni. Then how can Shiv possess Vyom?

Stupid move by the CVs IMO. I hope they know what they are doing and how sensitive and serious this topic is. For a while I have been disappointed with the show, in fact I spoke to a cousin of mine who is or rather was a neutral viewer, has not watched any of the leads shows and she said she has stopped watching it cos the story is going in circles.

This stupid track is not making sense.
