Jumping out of the rickshaw she asked the driver how much it was
Kanak gasped "Bhaiya this is to much, lessen it slightly"

The driver furrowed his brows "I haven't even said a price yet"
Kanak smiled "I know, I was just seeing how awake you are"

As she reached into her purse to get the money out a hand reached inside the rickshaw and paid for her
"Keep the change"

Kanak turned to face the tall man "Huh, where does his body end"
"Excuse me"
Kanak laughed "Sorry, I meant, where does your kindness end"

Uma smiled back at her, Kanak stretched out her hand to shake his
Uma put his hands together, greeting her

"Hm" copying him she did the same
Passing him her bag she smiled "You must have worked for the family for a long time that they trust you with money"

Uma went to say something but she had already walked forward, turning back she smiled "Come on then, anyway I hope to work here to, tell me between us is the family nice"

Uma smiled as he joined in "Yes, very nice, they say Uma Shankar can be very strict though"
Kanak laughed, elbowing him jokingly "Lets hope I dont bump into him then"

Kanak stepped into the house, turning to thank the man, she saw he was gone and her bags were by her feet

Shrugging "weird"

Putting her hands together she greeted Nanda, taking her blessings, she was invited in

"So have you tutored before "
Kanak nodded "Once or twice yes, I really think I can help Shiv and I think we will get along"

Nanda smiled, this girl was both well mannered and educated
Shiv ran over

"Is this my new tutor" he asked
Nanda nodded "If you like her yes"

Shiv sat down, suddenly looking serious

"What's a pirates faviourate letter"
Kanak looked confused, thinking for a while her eyes lit up
"Arrr"

Shiv clapped his hands "Yes Maasi sa, I like her"

Kanak cheered, hugging him

"Well theres just one more persons approval we need" said Nanda
Kanak nodded, it had been easy to get their approval, how hard could this be

Kanak sipped her drink
Turning over her shoulder Nanda called out "Uma, Uma come here a second"

Kanak choked as Nanda slapped her back "slowly, slowly"

Kanak looked up to see Uma
"Wait, this is Uma"
Nanda laughed "Yes who else would it be"

Kanak glared up at him as he smiled back
Hm, so he was fond of playing tricks?
Well he had messed with the wrong girl

"She is to be our new tutor for Shiv if you agree" said Nanda
Uma nodded "Miss Rathi, why dont you take a walk with me"

"Into the lions den" muttered Kanak
Uma raised his eyebrow
Kanak laughed awkwardly "I mean, its a beautiful day outside for a walk"

Uma and Kanak arrived in the garden
Kanak turned to face him "Why did you lie to me"

Uma laughed "I didn't lie, you assumed without asking"
Kanak rolled her eyes "But you didn't correct me"

"You talk to much, I didnt have a moment where I could "
Kanak gasped "Hey! I talk as much as necessary, I speak when spoken to and when I have to say something, maybe you should talk more then others wouldnt make mistakes, how rude to insult a lady"

Uma sighed "See, did you even breathe then? A lady"
Uma raised his hand above his eyes looking around

"Where I dont see one"
Kanak's mouth dropped "Well, well "

Turning her head the other way she stormed off
"Miss Rathi be careful theres" Uma shouted

But it was to late Kanak had slipped and fell down
Uma slapped his head with his hand "poo"

Uma ran over, holding his hand out to Kanak, taking she pulled herself up
"This is all your fault, look now my clothes are ruined"

Uma pursed his lips as he tried not to laugh but failed
Kanak glared at him as she waited for him to stop


"Uma whats made you laugh so much"
Uma turned to face Palomi "Miss Rathi, this is Palomi, my future fiancee and Palomi, this is Miss Rathi, she slipped and her clothes are ruined, she will be Shiv's new tutor"

Palomi smiled "Come, I have some clothes for you"
Kanak thanked her as she walked with her

Uma stood watching her, what a crazy girl.

Palomi had noticed how Uma had laughed with Kanak, in a way he had never laughed with her.

Palomi had the advantage here, she knew exactly what Uma liked and seeing Kanak in a short dress would make him disprove immediatley

Palomi pulled out a light blue dress, handing it to her

Palomi shook her head "It's hot out, it will help"

Kanak was still unsure but went to clean and change herself

Palomi walked out of the room "Uma, Kanak wanted to have a word with you about what you thought "

Uma went into the room, sitting on the bed he waited for Kanak

Kanak walked out "Palomi, how do I"
Stopping she watched Uma walk over to her , his eyes were glued to hers

Pulling the bottom of the dress down she blushed
It was like bells were ringing as Uma struggled to look anywhere else

He usually wasnt fond of these things, but it seemed Miss Rathi could pull off anything

"Palomi gave it to me, I uh"
"You look"
Stopping he took a breath in "Good"

Kanak gulped at his smoldering gaze
"Can you smell that"
Kanak sniffed then shook her head
"Chandan" he muttered

Kanak stood back, her family had always said she had a unique scent, like sandalwood, she wasnt about to tell this man it was her!

"So do I have your approval"
Uma smiled "You had it when you gave me your bags"

"So what did you take me on that walk for"
Kanak was annoyed

Uma smiled "To make you worry of course"
With that he walked out


Palomi turned to him "So"
Uma nodded "She will be Shiv's new tutor"

Palomi clenched her fist, her plan had failed
