Part 11-

"Suman" Nanda called as she walked forward hugging her
Sumans hands stayed down as she waited for Nanda to pull back she moved away and walked past

"Suman wait" shouted Uma but she ran upstairs
Kanak turned to Shiv "Who's that"
"My sister, she was away finishing 8th grade"

Kanak frowned "Why is she back "
Shiv smiled "Girls in our family cant learn past the 8th grade"

Kanak tapped her foot "and who imposed this rule"
Shiv pointed his finger, as Kanak followed it she saw Uma

Running upstairs she found Suman
"Hello, Suman may I talk to you"
Suman nodded as she pulled the door open "Nanda said there was a tutor here for Shiv"

Kanak flinched at her tone "I want to help you learn further"
Suman looked up "Why do you want to help me"
Kanak smiled "Everybody deserves a chance to learn"

Suman shrugged "You cant do anything please leave me alone"
Shoving Kanak out she slammed the door

"I will fix this Suman, I promise"
Kanak ran into her room to plan how she would change Uma's mind

There would be no engagement or marriage until this was sorted

Part 12-

Kanak walked down the stairs
Uma smiled up at her, Kanak shook her head as she watched Palomi lie her head on Uma's shoulder

Uma stood up quickly following Kanak to the kitchen
"Miss Rathi is everything okay"
Kanak ducked under his arm, reaching flr the pot she turned around and washed it under the water

"Miss"
Kanak still ignored him
"Rathi, Miss Rathi"

Pulling her arm he twisted her around so her back was against the sink
"Why arent you talking to me"

"Run back to Palomi, I have nothing to say"
"Have I done something wrong"

Kanak shoved his shoulder "I am going to challenge you, by tomorrow night if I can get Suman to talk to you again, you must give me 2 things I want"

"And that is"
"You will see"

"Why are you trying to fix this family"
"No family should be broken"

Uma stood back shocked as he allowed Kanak to walk past
Palomi stood on the phone "Uma and his money will be even more closer to being mine tomorrow "

Kanak stopped immediatley, she watched as Palomi put the phone down and walked away

"I will not let you tear this family apart"

Part 13-

Kanak turned around, trying to pin her sari she huffed loudly

Warm fingers traced her back as her sari was pinned up, "You ready for this challenge "

Kanak turned to face Uma "I know this is hard, you dont have to act like youre okay"
Her hand rested on his cheek as she stood back

Kanak moved past him as he grabbed her wrist, pulling her back "I dont know what this is Miss Rathi, but theres something about you"

Kanak ran out of the room as she rested her back against the wall she smiled as she looked at her wrist

"Suman, I need a favour"
Suman stopped and turned to face her
"I have your books, on your cupboard, ready to start learning and theres a dress on the bed for the engagement , please get ready I need a dance partner"

Suman huffed loudly "I dont care for their engagement "
Kanak smiled "Trust me, you wont want to miss this"
Suman raised her eyebrow "Do you know"

Kanak tapped her nose "We're in this together, come on girl, im gonna nees you tonight"
Suman nodded as she went to get dressed

Kanak ran down the stairs as she ran into Palomi, smiling she wished her good luck on her engagement

Palomi glared as Suman walked down the stairs, looking around she yanked her arm and pulled her into the corner

Kanak excused herself as she followed them

Palomi twisted Suman's arm "If you try and ruin this for me ill get you sent back to that place you hate so much"

Kanak walked forward, pulling Palomi back she slapped her around the face
"If I ever see you touch an innocent child again, ill be your worst enemy"

Sumans eyes filled with tears as she hugged Kanak
"Shush its okay, im gonna fix this, I just need one favour"
Suman nodded

"Believe me when I say Uma isnt bad, he just doesnt know, but im going to make him see, just trust me"

Suman agreed as Uma sat down
Suman walked over to him , Palomi stood infront of her blocking her way

Turning to face Kanak, she nodded as Suman stood around her and walked over to Uma

Picking up a sweet shed fed it to him as he smiled up at her and offered her some

Walking away she smiled at Kanak who winked at Uma
"How" he mouthed

Kanak picked up her drink, raising it she downed the glass
Walking past him she nudged his shoulder "You have a little something on your face"

Uma reached up to wipe it away as Kanak grabbed his hand and showed him the yellow paste on there
"Me and Suman are a team now"

Uma went to grab her as she ducked

Turning to Nanda she smiled at her as Uma turned to watch her

Kanak stood by Suman , lifting a scarf over her head she smiled at her

Kanak, twisted around with Suman, as they danced with the rest of the dancers
Twisting around she fell into Uma who caught her, looking down at her his hand gripped her waist

Mere diljaani mere maahi mere dholna

Koi sun lega zara dheere dheere bolna

Haan, ishq kiya hai maine chori nahin ki hai

Tere sang yaara jora jori nahin ki hai

Uma twisted her around again, pulling her back he danced slowly with her
Palomi grabbed Kanak as she pushed her over to Suman, twisting she bent low as she touched Uma's feet

Chain le liya maine beqaraar karke

Beqaraar karke, beqaraar karke

Dil laga liya maine tumse pyaar karke

Tumse pyaar karke, tumse pyaar karke

Kanak shook her head, she was here as a tutor not to spend this much time with Uma
She continued to dance with Suman as Palomi and Uma danced together
But Uma's eyes were on Kanak

Beech safar mein kahin mera saath chhodke

Tujhko kasam hai naiyyo jaana dil todke

Kanak smiled over at him

Kaise main bataaoon tujhe kaisa mera haal ve

Jeena marna hai sab ab tere naal ve

As Palomi pulled away, she danced next to Kanak, kicking her leg out she watched as Kanak faltered back into the candle and her sari lit up

Tujhko paa liya tera intezaar karke

Intezaar karke, intezaar karke

Dil laga liya maine tumse pyaar karke

Tumse pyaar karke, tumse pyaar karke

Uma grabbed her immediatley as he doused out the fire "are you okay"
Pulling her to him he held her tight, it was confusing how important she had become for him in such a short time

She breathed life into what was a very dull and boring way of living
She was a breath of fresh air when nothing seemed to work for him

Shiv smiled up at Suman who looked over at Uma and Kanak
She was the best life partner for him ans Suman couldnt wait to see what Kanak would do to change Uma's outlook

"Kanak are you okay" askes Nanda as she passed her a glass of water
Palomi ran over "Uma its time"
Uma frowned as he looked at Kanak but nodded

Lifting the ring he was about to put it on her finger
When Suman walked up "Dadusa, I hope you make the right decision and be happy"

Kanak sighed in relief, she had won the deal
The ring clattered to the floor as Uma reached out to hug Suman

"Theres no defeating a bond between 2 siblings Palomi "
Kanak whispered in her ear as she smiled over at them

"Uma, can I talk to you"
Nodding he followed Kanak as Nanda smiled , was it possible she had chosen the wrong girl for Uma?

Part 15-

"2 things, you must allow me to tutor Suman so she can learn as far as she wishes"
Uma stopped then nodded "and the second thing"

Kanak gave him the engagement ring he dropped , resting it in his hand she put her hand out as his eyes widened
"You have a choice now, Palomi or me"

"But why"
"You dont love her"
Uma sighed "And you think I love you"

Kanak smiled "Not yet, but you will, until youve made your choice, keep the ring"
Kanak walked away as Uma looked down at the ring in his hand, closing his hand he put the ring in his pocket

Palomi ran over to Uma , with her hand out
Uma shook his head "My head is one place, my heart another I cant make this decision right now"

Palomi drew her hand into a fist as she glared at his back as he walked away
Turning to face Kanak she smiled

"I will win him before you do, that ring will be mine "
Kanak smiled "You have the ring, I will have his heart"

Nanda shook her head as she put hee hands together "Shiv Ji please guide Uma on the right path, ensure he gets the right life partner"

Uma stopped at Suman's room, knocking he walked in
"Miss Rathi will be tutoring you to from now onwards"
Suman looked up at him , smiling "Thank you Dadusa"

He nodded as he pulled the door close "Do you love her "
Uma stopped "Who"
"Kanak, and why wont you say her name"

Uma sighed "Not all good things remain in your life, if I never say her name I wilk never get attatched
Suman shook her head "The mind never controls the heart Dadusa, the more you fight it, the more you want it"

Uma closed the door as he returned to his room
Sitting down he rested his hand in his head as he sighed

Part 16-

Palomi picked up a plate as she carried it to the kitchen she poured spices over it, taking it back out she put it infront of Uma

"Kanak made this for you"
Kanak stood happily waiting to see what Uma had said, she had made his faviourate food and hoped he would like it

Uma lifted some to his mouth, his eyes widened as he coughed slightly
Kanak looked on worried "Do you not like it"

Uma shook his head "Very nice"
Finishing the dish he stood up as he nudged past her
"Youve already added enough spice to my life, i didnt need anymore "

Palomi fumed as Kanak blushed, she never added any spice

Looking down she saw the red powder on Palomi's fingers
Shaking her head she walked away

Uma downed a glass of water as Kanak smiled at him
Turning to face her he raised his eyebrow
Kanak just shook her head as she walked away

Suman lifted the note of her bed "meet me outside, I have a surprise, get in the car, my friend is driving us-Kanak"
Suman smiled as she walked downstairs and out of the house

Kanak walked past Sumans room
"Where has Suman gone, we were meant to be studying"

Suman was shoved into the car as her mouth was gagged and her hands were tied
Kanak ran outside, "Suman"

Running after the car , it stopped
Pulling Kanak in she was thrown to the floor
"Shush its okay dont cry ill get you out of here "
