CHAPTER 1

[CANADA POLICE DEPARTMENT (CPD) (FICTIONAL)]

There was busy buzzing of phone all over the office and everyone was walking here and there. A young man came inside the chief's room and asked,Did you call me sir?The chief was working on a file and looked at him from over his spects and leaned on his chair and said,Uh Rehaan my dear boy!!There is a call from the Headquarters and they urgently need a new recruitment. So...Rehaan immediately replied,But sir suddenly with such a short notice, I can't leave from here...Right now!!The chief immediately corrected,Oh no no!!I can't afford to loose my one of the best officers like that,my office gonna drown like a trash in no time. I was just...uh...Rehaan looked closely towards his boss and then he immediately understood the language of his narrow eyed expressions and replied,Oh no sir!!Please don't ask that!!He will not agree.He just hates cops, he even hates me its just that due to the BLOOD' thing between us, he can't tear me off his life. The chief asked,Did you talk to him?Rehaan replied,There is no point in talking with him about it. At least he now lets me in his house, if I give him that proposal, he will just bang the door on my face in no time.The chief gave a deep sigh and replied,It's pity we couldn't have such a gem in our possession. He helped us solving so many tricky and difficult cases. But why he doesn't be a cop if he is way too good in it?Rehaan replied,Sir, he is a chef by heart, he loves cooking and solving crimes is his passion without which he can't live without. Please sir drop that idea.The chief seemed to be a bit disheartened and then Rehaan left from there. He checked on his phone while leaving for his cabin and found that there was a message a few minutes ago. He opened the message and read the message and a smile appeared on his face. He picked up his coat from his cabin and walked out of his office. Rehaan Khurana, a British-Indian breed from a British mother and an Indian father. He is a detective at the Canada Police Department and probably the best of the current lot. His parents retired on a country side about an hour from the main city. He has a younger brother and had a sister who died many years ago. He stays in an apartment with his girlfriend Ahaana Seth, a doctor by profession. Rehaan met Ahaana in the restaurant as messaged by her at the appropriate time. Ahaana kissed on his cheek and Rehaan too kissed back but Ahaana realized that something was different in his greeting that day as he used to grab her waist more passionately during that kiss which that day he didn't. Ahaana and Rehaan grabbed a table and she asked,What happened??You look so worried.Rehaan replied,Oh no its just him anyways.Ahaana nodded her head and said,Oh Rehaan you just have to stop poking into his life. He loves to stay alone. Everyone does love their privacy.Rehaan replied,I know but I can't let him stay alone. I promised mum and dad that I will never leave him alone. You know him right? The way he is leading his life, one day either I will find him dead in his apartment due to his unhealthy habits without proper food or sleep or one day he will be killed by one of his many enemies.Ahaana too looked worried and said,But you two have an estranged relationship, he will never take your help and will never listen to you.Rehaan replied,There lies the problem with him, he will never listen to me. So I need your help Ahaana. Only you can do it. I know he never listens to me, but whether he agrees or not, he at least listens to you. Ahaana was surprised and asked,Me??He nodded his head and she asked,But about what you want me to make him listen?He took a deep breath and held her hand and replied,I was thinking to hire him a housekeeper, who will take care of him and his life.Ahaana removed her hand and said,Housekeeper??For him?? Haven't you tried this before??You know everyone ran away because of his habits. No one wants to stay with him, you himself call him a psychopath, though he is actually not, he is actually a very nice guy just his ways are a bit weired that's it.Rehaan said,See except you no one likes him.That's why Iam asking you to talk some sense in him.Ahaana had previously ordered food which was served in the middle of their conversation. Suddenly, Ahaana's mobile buzzed and when she checked it, she found a message. She opened it and said,Oh its him!!He sent me a message. Rehaan took a spoonful of food and said,Name the devil and here the devil appears.Ahaana grinned her teeth looking at Rehaan. He asked,What had he written?Ahaana replied,The message says,''Come quickly to the hotel its urgent and yes' do bring that pigheaded puppy of yours-RK!!Ahaana pressed her lips on seeing Rehaan's facial expressions and typed back a message. Rehaan asked,What the hell are you typing?Ahaana replied,Iam telling him that you might be pigheaded but you aren't my puppy.Rehaan was about to say something when Ahaana's phone tinkled again and she read out the message "But he always BARKS!!'Come soon its damn urgent!- RKWhen Rehaan was about to say something, Ahaana cut him down on the middle and said,Don't say anything now and that too about him. By the way he is smarter than you and more intelligent than you and lastly he has self control which you don't have and you have to agree on that. Now let's go!!He mentioned that's urgent!!Rehaan made a face paid the bills of the food and left with Ahaana.

Inside the kitchen of one of the biggest hotels of Canada, a man was cooking food, rather experimenting with veggies and ingredients. He wore a goggle which are generally worn by chemists in labs and put a tincture of some spice very carefully on his newly manufactured food rather, as if he was really working on some kind of breakthrough in the history of the scientific invention. He looked quite curiously and excitedly towards the food and then suddenly something struck him and without looking, he opened the shelf above his head in his cooking area and tried to pick up a jar of specific ingredients. But as soon as he touched the specific jar of his specific ingredients, his brows squeezed and then he suddenly turned around to a particular man and spoke out,David!!If you really want to grab something out of my shelve, do take it I don't mind but before doing that an asking would be nice.David was the newest chef of the hotel and he was stunned when he was accused like that. It was not actually the accusation which surprised him, rather was the fact of how he was accused since when David took that ingredient, he was not there in his kitchen area. The man smiled at him, rather a forced smile and left for the store. Another one of the chefs was working beside David smiling at David's plight. When David looked at him curiously, he said,Don't be surprised, he's like that. He has a THING' by which he could dig out peoples' deepest secret. He is the great RK' once he saved our owner's neck from a murder case which would have possibly hanged him and for that reason, boss is always indebted to him. He is so good in deduction, that with one look he could say many things about you. David asked,Then what the hell is he doing here?He should have been a cop. Shouldn't he?The man said,Oh no!! This man is a scientist in cooking. When our boss was suffering financial loss, he doubted that someone might have been conspirating against him within his own hotel and so he hired RK again and RK instead deduced that the fooding of his hotel is quite usual which is available in every other restaurant in quite cheap prize. You see the huge lines of customers outside, its all because of him. He invented one dish which changed the fate of his hotel and the boss hired him immediately and RK is the only chef in the history of this hotel probably in this country who gets perks according to his wish and not fixed by the HR. All the famous dishes for which the hotel is well known, were all invented by him. Not only this, even the Canadian government hires him for almost all the impossible cases.Just then the manager banged inside the kitchen and in an excited tone asked,Where's RK? RK came out of the store with a basket of veggies and ingredients and said,Right here!!He put the staffs in his kitchen area and asked,What the hell you want Ben-zeee!!!?The manager said,A pair of customers want to meet the chef who made that delicious potato-broccoli soup. Please do come.RK walked towards him and then gave a close look at him and then gave a fake smile and said,Its high time to change your toothbrush Ben-zeee!!The manager was taken aback for some time and then asked,How on earth...RK waved his hands on his face and said,Oh never mind what more to expect from normal people like you. A bristle of your toothbrush is still stuck on your teeth and most importantly... Whenever you kiss your Anna' be very cautious as you are married. The manager again looked appalled and RK replied,'Anna' you loving short name for Suzanna'. The vibrant scent of the strawberry flavour of her lipstick is still coming and you must have forgotten to rub that properly from your lips so you must be cautious as women smell like bitches.He winked at him and the manager found that all the staffs were staring at him. He looked at the other chefs and ordered,Hey!!No christmas is coming right now, get back to your work!! The manager was so annoyed at RK that he grabbed his hand and grinned,You never think before opening your mouth and that one habit of yours I hate so much that practically instigates me to murder you sometimes but the job...just the job binds my hand and also your brother and by the way...He left RK' apron's sleeve and said,The name is Benjamin if you forgot. RK opened the door to go out and replied,I don't store useless information in my hard drive otherwise I have to delete the useful ones. Tada!! He just left from there.

RK as in Raghav Khurana, younger brother of Rehaan, is a complete psychopath for others, including his own brother but to himself he is the intelligent and well behaved maniac. He is proud, rude and an intolerable man who thought himself to be the genious of all mankind and he loves to show off his deduction skills and his intelligence to everyone whenever he got any chance. He has a very troubled and disturbing and not-so-normal' relation with his brother, a kind of sibling rivalry but Ahaana and Raghav have a very good and friendly relationship and in this whole world, he listens to only two women, one is his mother to whom he always listens and the other one is Ahaana to whom he sometimes listens but still listens. All the women go mad about him but he hardly looks towards anyone as according to him Sex-doesn't-alarm-him'. Raghav has a bad habit that he never really cared about human emotions especially when he makes any kind of deductions about a particular person as to how it may affect him. All he really cared about a good, interesting and impossible case and the more impossible and bizarre it gets, the more he could work his brain out and simultaneously the more kicks he used to get. As per his parents' wish and his brother's request, he hired housekeepers but no one could adjust to his lifestyle and all left the job. He had a dark memory regarding the death of his sister due to which he has a troubled life. He stays alone in an apartment and returns there almost every night fully drunk and dashed down on his bed without having dinner. Raghav came out in the middle of the dining hall to meet the customers' he was called to meet. The owner Henrick Kingston, introduced him to his customers and said,He is the brightest gem in my court. Meet our best and iconic chef Raghav Khurana as in AS.The couples greeted him and he too shook his hands with him. While shaking his hands, by his nature of deducting a new person, he observed many things and suddenly said,You know both of you must get separated as both of you are engaged in an extra marital relationship.The couples looked at each other in surprise and then Henrick whispered in Raghav's ears,Not now RK!!Raghav shooed him and said,Oh shut up Henny!!Can't you see Iam trying to help them out.Raghav continued,From the time, we are standing here, he was over consciously after every five seconds raising his collar probably trying to hide the tattoo of her new girlfriend's name which again means that they are not hooking up, physically' for quite a long tim and the my lady's marriage ring is dirty from outside but clean from inside which means she regularly takes that out, but why...that only concludes to having a new boyfriend which further concludes a-very-unhappy-married-life.There was a pin drop silence around the table but a few seconds later, only one voice was heard and that was Henricks,Shit!! Raghav suddenly took out his wallet and then gave a card to the man (customer) and said,It's the contact of a divorce lawyer, you can visit him and take my name you'll get your discount. He winked at them and moved away from there. Henrick followed him and said,What the hell was that RK??I owe you my life but that doesn't mean you drive away my customers.Raghav stopped and put his hand on Henrick's shoulder and said,Buddy you just don't get it!!It was strictly economical. You know I gave your friend's card remember you told me about him not getting clients. See I gave him new clients, these two people are clearly not happy with each other, I just helped them out. Now they will get divorced, openly hook up with their partners, will again come in your hotel with their new partners, if they are thankful to me which means...you'll get two new customers, increase in business. What's say?Henrick was surprised and said,Yeah!! I didn't think it that way. Hey thanks man!!Raghav smiled and replied,You're welcome and always remember, Iam the face of your hotel, it needs me.He winked and Henrick smiled and as Raghav turned he got banged with Rehaan. Raghav immediately changed his expressions as if he had tasted some kind of bitter food. Rehaan smiled at him and asked,How are you brother dear?Raghav completely ignored him and held Ahaana's hand and said,Thanks for coming in such a short notice, I have a surprise for you.He took her to a seat and Rehaan followed them.

As soon as Rehaan and Ahaana took their seats, Rehaan pulled Raghav's goggles that was tied around his neck and asked,What are these lab goggles doing with you?Raghav freed his goggles from Rehaan's hands and said,Discovering new dishes is no less than a scientific experiment. Cooking is the science and art of taste.Rehaan gave him a look and Raghav replied,Oh don't give that look!!What will a boaring and useless cop like you know about all these things? I don't even expect.Ahaana asked,So Raghav why did you call us here on an urgent basis?We were in the middle of a lunch appointment.Raghav replied,I have something for you.He brought two plates of the same food which he was earlier manufacturing in the kitchen and asked both Rehaan and Ahaana to taste it. When Rehaan gave that a bite, he made a face and threw it out on the plate and asked,What the hell was that?Raghav replied,Well I was experimenting with my food and you know, experiments sometimes do gives disastrous results.Rehaan threw the spoon on the plate and asked,So what the hell am I? A guinea pig to test your experiments on?Raghav replied,Oh no!!You're not worth it!!He looked at Ahaana and said,Now you give it a try.Ahaana tasted her part of the food and she closed her eyes as soon as the food mingled with her tongue and she said,Mmm Raghav!!Its yummy!!He gave a broad smile and replied,Well thanks!!I knew it would be better.Rehaan said,You just brought me here to taste that shit of yours. Isn't it?You don't have that minimum respect for your elder brother.Raghav covered his mouth and then imitated like a girl,Ooo wow Rehaan, you're so intelligent!!Please marry me!!You know you stole my heart from that first glance of yours.He then changed his voice back to normal and said to Ahaana,Seriously Ahaana didn't you get anyone else?You're literally crashing your own life with your hands.He then turned to Rehaan and said,Now according to you, if respect' means to flatter you like the shitty colleagues of yours then sorry that word isn't in my dictionary for you.Rehaan was about to reply back but Ahaana interrupted in the middle and said,Stop it boys!!Look where you are!!By the way Rehaan we had to talk something serious with Raghav.Raghav looked at both of them at every second interval for two times and then by reading their expressions, he deduced,Oh no!!If you're again going to chew my head on that housekeeper' issue then please don't coz Iam not interested.Ahaana said,Raghav its your mum's strict order that you need a housekeeper, you can't live away like this. Just for you, all the housekeepers we arranged till date ran away literally. It can't keep going on like that.Now his mother is the only person, whom Raghav is extremely scared of and so he said,Its not my fault by the way!!But still if you're interested then find me an assistant. She will have to look after my each and every thing and also she has to assist me in solving crimes and who should not have all those girly' things and most importantly she should be out of my personal matters not like the earlier ones.Ahaana said,Fine!!I'll find that girl for you and if you want you can take her interview.But please be rational and sensible this time.Raghav nodded his head like a good-boy' and then said to his brother,Now please Iam getting bored if you want to show that face of yours again, bring a case to me. Iam actually bored sitting like that in my house without any adventure.Rehaan got up and asked Ahaana to come as he had to go to office. After coming out of the hotel, Rehaan asked,You promised him a housekeeper of his choice now how the hell are you gonna do that?Ahaana gave a smile and replied,Leave that to me. I have that perfect girl for him.He got confused but left with Ahaana from there without anymore argument.

A girl was tied up in a chair in a deserted factory with her mouth covered up with a tape while she was struggling with herself to be free. A group of men came around and one of them put a chair just in front of her. A middle aged man came there with a thin walking stick in his hand and sat on that chair. He rested his leg on the other and said,So...you're the one who is known to be AZAZEL' who stole my diamond. You don't look like the one...do you? To me...you're just a little sparrow who is tied in front of me fighting to be free just like a caged little bird.He mocked her and then suddenly he became very serious and said,Now give me back my diamond!! The girl pointed at her tape with her eyes and the man ordered her tape to be opened. As soon as the tape was removed she screamed,Holy shit!!Is this the way you treat your guests? The man looked at the girl and she said,That diamond doesn't belong to you and stealing from a thief...is not stealing' in practical. By the way I alone didn't steal that from you, I just helped the thief stealing it.The man asked,Do you think Iam a fool who runs this whole racket? Breaching the security of that kind is no ordinary man's job. Only someone with extra ordinary talent can do this. Where is AZAZEL'? The girl replied,Well!! No one has actually seen him/her. I got a message one day of assisting in that burglary for quite a handful of money and I was in desperate need of money so I took it. I just assisted the actual thief. But yes' I am a true fan of AZAZEL', I worship him/her like God. The man asked,Who had given the contract of stealing the diamond? The girl replied,I don't know, I was just informed that today that person will be paying off for that burglary. But unfortunately I was caught and the thief got your diamond.The diamond kingpin asked,Who asked you to steal the diamond?Another man came out in the middle from the other side and said,Oh I did!!He was surrounded by his men who aimed guns towards the kidnappers. Seeing this the kidnapper gang too aimed gun at them. The drug kingpin said,So... you really are the stealer... Lucifer!!Lucifer was the leader of the weapon mafia who recently got interested in Diamond' just to settle old scores with Christopher, the diamond kingpin. Lucifer said,I got a message from AZAZEL to rescue this girl as I have got my diamond, so I too have to keep my promise. Release her right now!! After we will settle aour own matters.Lucifer smiled at him and Christopher asked his men to untie the girl and they cut her loose. The girl looked scared towards the gun and slowly got up from the chair. She gave a foolish smile and put on her glasses and cracked a joke,Oh please don't shoot me Iam scared of violence and Iam just a tiny little tweety pie.She behaved like a kid which literally annoyed both Lucifer and Christopher. She understood that and stopped grinning and then thanked Lucifer and said,Oh thanks man!!You just saved my life. Now where's the payment? I need it as I have to go.Lucifer kept a briefcase full of money on the table and asked the girl to take it. She checked whether the notes were real or not and then took the bag alongwith her and said,Ok Adios!!Saying the girl left from there.

She crossed the whole danger zone silently hugging the briefcase and then found a boy, a geek waiting for her somewhere in the dark since it was night time. The boy asked,You did it?The girl replied,Of course I did it. Impossible' is not my cup of tea. By the way... Playing with danger do have its perks.The boy replied,But they have the diamond and you have just the money, you know the diamond is worth even more than that. You risked your life and they are having that diamond. Don't you think that's a little bit unfair!!The girl looked at him and smiled and replied,I know I just have the money but how could you think that I gave away the diamond??No way!!That's not my style.The boy was boggled and asked,Wh-what do you mean?The girl gave the suitcase to him and then took out Christopher's stick from the sleeve of her coat and then broke the upper portion and took out the diamond. She gave a smile like the devil himself and on seeing the diamond, the boy was completely boggled.

The boy :- "So...you have the diamond..

The girl :- "Yep!!

The boy :- "You have both the diamond and the money...

The girl :- "Yep!!

The boy :- "You kept it in the stick...of the...

The girl :- "Owner himself!!Don't you think that's the last place he will search for.

The boy :- "So Lucifer has the false diamond.

The girl :- "The 100% fake, he will need an absolute expert to find that out.

The boy :- "Do you know what will happen when both will find that out?

The girl :- "Iam just an ordinary girl next door. How will I distinguish between an original and a fake one. Moreover I just helped to steal, I didn't carry out the whole thing by myself. It was all AZAEL's act and no one knows who actually he/she is and...even if they still try...well AZAZEL has all their movies save in her wardrobe.

The boy :- "So you...like always come clean.

The girl nodded her head. She described how she stole the diamond by covering herself completely in a black outfit and then delivered a fake diamond to Lucifer and kept the original one inside Christopher's stick by sneaking into his home.

The boy :- "That was one hell of a thing!!But why did you take such risk?

The girl :- "It gives my kicks!!Theres nothing entertaining in leading a normal life especially when you have no one to cry behind. Moreover does AZAZEL require any entrance? He is everywhere, even inside your tiny little head. She winked at him.

The boy :- "Now what are you gonna do with these?

The girl :- "Get them back to their mummies like always!!We will just have only a share of the money as our fee.

The boy and the girl walked away somewhere where he had parked his bike and rode away with her. He stopped outside a small building which was an orphanage under the control of a church. She opened the briefcase and handed two bundles of notes to the boy and then opened the carrier of the bike and took out a small box. The girl opened the box, took out a paper, a tube of glue and a pen and fixed the paper on the briefcase. She wrote "With love and apology The boy asked,So are you gonna give in your autograph?I mean can Azazel to enter church?The girl smiled and replied,I told you... She opened her glasses and looked into the boy's eyes and said,He can be everywhere!! She wrote,From AZAZEL!!She gave a crooked smile indicating she herself was the AZAZEL, demon of the virtual world. Somewhere in a museum, one of the guards found a gift wrapped box. He went running towards the reception and called the manager and in a horrifying tone, informed him what happened. Within 15 minutes, the manager arrived. He took the box from the guard and opened it and to his horror, he found the diamond which got stolen from the museum a week back and no one, even the police could find that out. He got a card inside the box in which it was written "The Mummy Returns Accepting Gratitude AZAZEL!! The girl was standing at a distance from the museum looking at it. She turned around pulled off the hood of her coat, put her hands inside the pocket and walked off laughing like a real demon.
