season IV - the wedding. So fasten your seat belts, we are ready for take-off.

Season IV The Wedding
Part 1
They had returned to Mumbai two days after the ceremony. Gauri had bid her study group, Crafts college friends, Omkara's friends and Waldorf's staff goodbye with a heavy heart. Omkara was amused at how soon his chiraiyya makes room in people's hearts. Don't worry, we will surely come back, you can meet them again' he consoled her on the plane, whilst of course, calming her fear of flying, in the way he knew best.
Everyone in Oberoi mansion was very excited to welcome them. Previously Shivaay , Anika and Rudra were planning to surprise them in Berlin but suddenly Daadi had taken ill and with many problems going on the business front they had to abandon the plan. They didn't inform Omkara and Gauri about Daadi's illness and it was under control and they didn't want Omkara to drop his award ceremony and return. Divya Ma had come back from the retreat as she was aware Gauri will need her for the last two months of her exam preparations. As soon as they returned, Daadi's health had also suddenly taken a turn for the good; it was as if she had been missing Gauri's smiles and Omkara's hugs and flying kisses. So once that was back, she was in a rosy state now.
This called for a double celebration. Now that they were here, they could all celebrate together as a family. A surprise party was organised to welcome them the day after they arrive to give them time to get over the jetlag and exhaustion. But no one was to inform them. Khanna had strict instructions to carry out the party preparations in the back lawn without getting a hint out to anyone. ShivRu had picked them up from the airport, Rudy couldn't help teasing them all along the way, enquiring about everything under the sun, and Shivaay just couldn't stop himself from telling them now and again of how proud and happy they made him feel.
At home, they had to go through bone crushing hugs, they forgot to count how many. And then they were fed food equal to a whole week's supply, as if they would have not got any food in Berlin. Later that evening, during tea time, even Tej and Shakti had made an exception and returned from office early to collect their gifts and see other's gifts. They never kept expectations from Omkara every time he returned from abroad, as he went often and kept busy so he never brought back gifts, but this time Gauri beta had gone with him, and they knew they were in for a treat.
The suitcase was opened and out came a treasure of love and warmth. For Daadi, they had bought a wool shawl and a winter jacket, which was for her trips to holy shrines in winter. The shawl was exquisitely embroidered and looked beautiful on Daadi and the jacket was in her favourite colour for which Gauri had roamed 100 shops to find. For Jhanvi Ma and Pinky aunty, there were the Carpisa bags of course (Italian products but purchased in Berlin). Tej uncle didn't have to wait long, when Gauri gave him an exquisite Cartier box, his eyes were moist, he hugged her and said, Thank you Beta, from today this is the most precious item I own, besides my family of course', he stole a glance at Omkara. Omkara watched this from a distance and tried to understand his emotions, Was he proud of Gauri, happy that she was making bridges with his so called father? Omkara went about his day organising his next curatorial project for a gallery in North India. Both of them still didn't have a single hint of the party being organised in their honour. AnivYa had taken full charge of the party, with Rudy helping here and there and also keeping an eye on RiKara so they don't find out.
In the evening, Anika came to Gauri and gave her a box, Gauru, your Bade Bhaiya and I want you and Omkara to wear this tonight for dinner' she said handing over the box.
