With the social media having become much stronger then before, celebs too have taken upon themselves the responsibility to keep their fans updated about their upcoming projects and everything else that goes on in their lives. But at the same time you have another set of actors who seldom post anything on the social media but continue to win the love of their fans through their stellar performances. One such actor who deserves to be praised for choosing to play unconventional roles is Imran Ashraf who won our heart with his portrayal of a eunuch Shammo in Alif Allah aur Insaan.
And since Imran is busy doing different plays these days we have some amazing news for his fans as the versatile actor is now gearing up for another drama along with Ushna Shah and Mohsin Abbas Haider called Lashkara.
With us always curious to know what he is up to, we got in touch with the star and this is what he told us about his latest venture,
"Let me first tell you that this is a wonderful script by Zafar Mairaj and it will be directed by Kashif Nisar. It is a Punjabi culture oriented play."
With a script penned down by Zafar Mairaj who is known to tell riveting tales and direction by Nisar whose Dumpukht we still love today, we are sure Lashkara will be a delight to watch as it also has three amazing actors on board .
Talking further about the play, Imran said, "Ushna and Mohsin both are playing very interesting roles and as far as my character is concerned, this one is a very emotional guy who is madly in love with Ushna's character. Also he belongs to interior Lahore and is quite innocent."
Produced by Six Sigma Plus, the team who gave us plays like Beinteha, Gul-e-Rana, Dillagi and Pyaray Afzal to name a few will be back with this one too. With Imran also busy wooing the audience as Tipu in Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua, we just had to ask him what more should the audiences expect from him in the coming episodes.
"There are some intense scenes which are going to come between Maya and Tipu as well as some action scenes as the situation in which she has gotten herself entangled. Maya will have a tough time getting out of it," shared Imran.
With Imran disclosing to us that he has worked very hard on Tipu as it was a very performance oriented role which he feels the audiences will now get to see in the coming few episodes.
We believe Imran's performance in Alif Allah aur Insaan has been his best so far, although he feels the role of Asher from Gul - e -Rana which he played has been his memorable one. But we for one cannot stop praising his performance as Shammo and with him gearing up once again to be seen with Ushna Shah we are already excited for Lashkara whose shooting is expected to begin soon.
