Is it really wrong to joke around among friends??

What are your thoughts on friends discussion about body parts? At first it's absolutely outrageous and inappropriate. But on the other hand when you are with your friends you tend to give them a long rope and talk or say things which aren't the most PG friendly, politically correct or borderline inappropriate. The way I see it had Akash going to random women, harassing them and passing unwelcome comments about their body parts it's absolutely a big no no.
But if him and Ben or others were into such conversations where they are comparing body parts or commenting at each other etc I don't see anything wrong with this either. I have a lot of friends, both male and female. But I joke with them accordingly based on their comfort zones. I think I have even complimented them few times over their ass, boobs and they would be cool with it. With friends I've even checked out girls and told them to check out her legs etc.

Maybe it's not happened with you but I am sure many people atleast guys have had similar experiences. It doesn't really mean we are being crass or a pervert. Friends do indeed talk a lot of rubbish with each other. Overall I feel it was uncool of Ben to drag their past discussions to make each other look bad now. I would hate to have anyone do this to me. I don't think in this matter there's just black and white, there's a lot of grey area and comfort zones between your friends. I don't think in good conscience I can blame Akash or side with Ben.

Acash has a history attached to him. He cannot be judged as someone u r describing. He is a tharki crass person who has done this with many. He did not leave his friend Puneesh and took blanket off him and bandagi to see what was going on.

Otherwise ur point is fine and makes sense also.

Exactly. I was the first who blasted him on his conduct with Lucinda. But I don't think Ben is or was Lucinda. She engaged in xyz discussions and at one point seems to be cool with it either. Now you can't retroactively go back and take offense at that suddenly. This is my problem with her. It's not really a man vs woman issue.

brilliant post, this is what I said in my post too
You do talk about a lot of stuff when amidst your friends esp close ones.

of course if its gets out , many would be appalled or offended , that's exactly why these conversations should not go out beyond your circle.

It's ok amongst friends as long as it is within a certain limit, but its not ok to make such comments in front of cameras on national television.
For example, Pungi can do whatever they want underneath the quilt in their home but it's cringeworthy if it's in front of cameras. Similarly, "locker room talk" should be confined to locker room, not discussed on national television.

That's true but when you live in a place for 3+ months you tend to blend in and accustom yourself and it becomes all too normal. A lot of things aren't shown on camera but it doesn't mean they don't talk about it. For example Akash Hiten and others were talking about testicles and underwears. There are women who talk about periods, bras or borrow pads. This is not something you would do openly but they are just too used to the cameras now. If Bigg Boss didn't show their discussions which Ben seems to be a part of then I feel she's just doing spiteful drama for attention not necessarily because she developed some conscience or decided to stand up for Shilpa or Arshi etc.

Exactly , werent Hina and Shilpa talking about S*x and condoms and how to wear them
I remember there was a convo on one night stands as well.

if you are offended stop it then and there, for eg, when Akash said something to Dhinchak Pooja, she took offense and put a stop to it immediately.

It all comes down to comfort level and consent. People are blasting Shilpa (who I don't like) for not taking a stand against Akash and same with Arshi but maybe they don't mind him because it falls within their comfort zones. You tend to overlook and tolerate a lot of things if someone is within those comfort level. I've gotten away with worse and said things to female friends. They too have done the same and said some outrageous things. Clearly I couldn't just go out and do this to anyone among friends it happens and life goes on. Ben chose to be a part of such discussions. She did not disengage and left. Now to see her do an 180 on him and beat around her chest is kinda absurd.

I don't see anything wrong with what Akash said. Some of my friends say ""worse"" stuff than that and I say it too. It's idiotic that she used their PRIVATE convo against him. Like dude, if you weren't comfortable with this kinda talk then you should've let him know right then instead of turning it into a first world problem in front of the whole house.

Today she reminded me of those people who first sleep with someone but then for some reason they realise they made a mistake and accuse that person of rape when it was all consensual in the first place smh. Before people jump on me cuz I used the big bad 'r' word: I used it as an analogy, so chill.
