But secondly, they might want to get a clean chit for him, wrt the 1992 weapons scandal... wonder how will they handle the part, where a truck full of weapons was waiting at his residence and later sent into the riots affected area to help a certain section of the society.

His life is better than most books. One of the few starkids who could truly act. His life has everything. Wealth, privilege, actor, from an acting dynasty, talent, tragedy, personal troubles both self inflicted and kismet, jail, terrorism charge. Everything. Even if they show half his life in truth it will be a fascinating watch.

The only thing that bothers me is that they are going to whitewash his image and the actual criminal act through this movie. Yes, he may have good personality traits, but this is bollywood's way of taking a highly controversial celebrity and trying to portray him as an innocent and ultimately "lovably" flawed person. Which is something you can do it in private, but why in the world does whole of India need to see such thing? Idk I know it will be a good product because raju hirani is a great director and ranbir is a good actor. But, definitely annoyed that they decided to make a movie about him post his jail stint, it makes it seems like they are trying to relaunch his image and make it clean or something. Definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth. 🥱

How else are they going to have an image makeover otherwise?
