Manish Goplani and Sonia Balani in Ila Bedi's Detective Didi' for Zee TV

Producer Ila Bedi's Trilogy Krikos will soon come up with a very interesting concept for Zee TV!!

Titled Detective Didi', the show will be about a detective girl who would solve various crime-related incidents!! Her journey will be eventful and the show will focus on her professional as well as personal life.

IndianWikiMedia.com has exclusively learnt that talented actor Sonia Balani, the lead of Tu Mera Hero has bagged the titular role of Detective Didi in the show.

Thapki Pyar Ki's heart-throb Manish Goplani will be the male lead and will be seen as a swash-buckling cop!!

A credible source tells us, "The show will be fully shot in Delhi. The team will be shooting the promo very soon in Delhi. The show is said to take the weekend programming slot on the channel.

We buzzed Sonia as well as Manish but did not hear back from them.

We also reached out to Producer Ila Bedi and the channel spokesperson, but did not hear from them.

As we know, Trilogy Krikos earlier produced successful shows for Zee TV namely Hitler Didi and Lajwanti.

Here's wishing Zee TV and Ila a great association yet again!!

P.S. hmm Illa Bedi...i still remember the torturous tracks of HD...you better don't repeat those mistakes. But thankfully this is a weekend show so hopefully the content will be interesting.

P.S.S. now i know why i instantly remembered HD while watching MG's audition...aik aur kirayedar aur makaanmalkin ki kahaani...phir se Chandni Chowk ki galliyan...bring it on!

Even I thought of Hitler Didi. Even now there is 'didi' in the title. Is it a sequel?

If it is about criminals and all, the show will be interesting.

mani ko bhi humesha alag alag role n characters chahiye tha... Happy aftrr this news bus ab jald confirmation mile manish ka bhi tht he is doing it... becz jiggu k show ka bhi news hi aaya bus... Bt i think yaha mani k case me show ka naam , location itna confirm bol rahe hai means show bhi dec ya jan thak suru ho jayega

As per sources, "Sonia's character will be a bubbly young girl, who would enjoy taking up challenges and solve mysterious cases around her. The show would primarily focus on her personal and professional life. She will meet an honest and intelligent cop and together they will team up to fight crimes. Their love story will also take precedence during the course of the show.

An excited Manish told indianexpress.com, "I am really happy for this new journey. As an actor, I am also glad that I never really sat idle after my show Thapki went off air. I was busy with Indonesian shows and now this has come my way. It's the love of my fans and well-wishers completely. Detective Didi is going to be a very new experience with lots of expectations and I will work my best towards it.

Talking about his character, the young actor further shared, "This is the first time I am playing a cop, so really excited. Also, we have been told that we will be shooting at live locations in Delhi, which will be another first for me.

When we reached out to Sonia, she said, "We are in discussion about the show and can chat about it once things are finalised. Though the title has a resemblance to Hitler Didi, producer Ila Bedi confirmed to us that the show is not a sequel but a completely new offering.

I have said on various occasions that he should play the role of a cop... and now it happens > happy for him!😛

But, I've also said on various occasions that Jigs could and should play a bubbly crime solver > in a new jodi with him > but it's not happening 😭

How come I still can't imagine anyone else with such chemistry for him?!😲 😕
