I don't read every thread. (If the title does not interests me, I don't get into). I can't comment on the threads I have not visited.
On your complaint (why I pick SRK fans in particular). To be honest, I think I have first hand experience of groupism only with SRK fans. I have never stood in the opposite camp of other fans (say like Deepika), so far. But I have found myself in the opposite side of SRK group on various topics (be it intolerance or whatever).
There are very few occasions when I am on the same side (like criticising Salman's acting, attitude). But even that is conditional. Once I was criticising Salman, as he had made fun of my favourite actress, Juhi. But I found you on the opposite side of me. (Around that time Juhi had said, she did not watch Dilwale).
Same thing during Hritik-Kangana saga. Though I respect Kangana's acting talent, I was with Hritik's side (even if he had affairs with other actresses). Hritik produced evidence, unlike Kangana. But SRK fan group decided to side with Kangana, as Kaabil collided with Raees. Alliance (between Kangana fangroup and SRK fan club) was openly discussed in HR-KR threads.
I thank myself for not being part of any group. I reserve my right to criticise any person, from Khan to Modi. I don't have to pledge my independence to prove my loyalty to a man/woman, who does not know me. Kangana finally bailed this group by coming up with Vagina ray.
Hritik Kangana episode went on for an year. Though standing in opposite camp, I never got intimidated by Kangana fans. No group support or group attack from her fans. It was only individual exchanges. Same thing while arguing with Lakhan. (Who was the bigger star in HAHK). It is one to one exchange. This does not happen to me with Sharukh fans. If I am arguing with one person, whole group joins that person to support. Then, instead of quoting one, I have to quote five.
