Do u think tht politics is helping to promote and hype the movies??Example it all first started with Rang de Basanti, there were some problem rised with the film tht caused gr8 chaos between the audience and a curiosity for the film, resulting in a superhit,(its not tht RDB didnt deserve to be a hit.)Next it was fanaa, another chaos by a political party but strangely fanaa profited the most in Gujrat where the problem had mainly rised, thus another case of overhype and curiositry of the audiences.Next there were many films followed like Lage raho Munnabhai(for the word "Gandhigiri".),etc.

I think that it was the other way around. These movies were hits or predicted to be hits. And then the "politiking" came into play. I don't know about the story behind Rang De Basanti, but with Fanaa the movie was highly anticpated movie with Kajol's return to films, and then the problems started with Gujrat banning it because Amir had said something about the Dam issue... but the movie was hit for another reason.

And with Lage Raho Munnabhai, Munnabhai M.B.B.S was a great comedy and everyone was anticpating the second one, but it was after the release that everyone was protesting it for the use of "Gandhigiri."

I think that people are trying to get some kind of attention, for some reason that I can't understand. They are using popluar issues like films and twisting it to their own use. I personally went to watch Fanaa because of Kajol and Munnabhai because of the comedy, not because of the "hype."
