Dear diary
It is been month now in this year. And this girl can't get one thing right. I have been noticing her for years now. Yes, she is smartest among her colleagues. And she is hard working student. But why she can't get it. That I want her to be perfect. Today I asked her question. And as usual she hesitated in her answer. May be I have been little cruel for her. But I want her to be perfect. Nothing less than perfect. She will has the privilege to work in Kundra hospital next year. That is why I can't accept the slightest mistake from her. I want to make her worth of my father trust. That is why I keep correcting her. I know my father said I should earn my student love and respect. But it shouldn't be in compromise on their skills as a future doctors. If she will hate me now but will be the best doctor in future, it is ok with me. Rather than like me as a teacher but she would be lousy doctor in future. Or worse to cause someone death. So it is ok with me if she hates me as long as it comes in her benefit as a doctor in future.
Next week in college RK is in his classroom and he noticed that Madhu skipped his class for the first time since she promised him not to regret his decision. He was wondering in his head. If she really hates him too much to attend his class. After his class he was in his office when he got a call from his father
"Hello Rishabh, where are you?" Mohan
"Yes sir. I'm in my office" RK
"I need a favor from you" Mohan
"Name it dad" RK
"You know my friend Kadar he has a factory" Mohan
"OK" RK
"His head worker has a heart attack last night during his shift" Mohan
"Ok" RK
"Kader like this worker a lot he is hard worker and honest man" Mohan
"Good" RK
"He asked me if I can check on his worker. Cause his worker is a very simple and poor man. Can't afford good doctor fees. And you know I'm out of country now. So if you can and do it for me" Mohan
"Ok sir, text me his name and address and I will go after work" RK
"Good, and if he needs hospital, take him to our hospital, for free. Don't charge his family anything. They are poor family and they are not from the city" Mohan
"Sure sir. I will do all what is needed. Don't worry" RK
After work RK drove for the address Dr. Mohan texted him. He knocked the door and someone with red eyes from crying opened it
"Dr. RK" Madhu
"Ms. Malik. Are you here?" RK
"Yes. I'm sorry I skipped your class ..." Madhu got scared from him. And worry, because she skipped his class. And she thought he is here to taunt her as usual but RK interrupted her
"I'm here for a patient. Mr. Shamsher Malik. Is it the right address?" RK
"Yes he is my father. Please come in. He is in this room" Madhu
Madhu show RK the room and she follows with him
"Mom this is DR. RK. He is here to check on my father" Madhu
"Ok doctor. Please check on him. He is so tired since yesterday. His coworker brought him last night. And since then he is too tired to stand up. He is just staying there can't move" Padmini crying
"Ok Madam can I have cup of tea please" RK
"Sure doctor. Madhu make tea for the doctor" Padmini
"No please Madhu you stay to help me" RK
"Ok I will go then and make it" Padmini
Madhu understood that RK wants her alone with his father so she asked her mother to make some sandwiches. And her mother went to kitchen
"What is it doctor?" Madhu
"I just want to ask about the patient health history and your mother is too emotional" RK
"Ok ask all what you want" Madhu
RK asked her some questions and he started to check her father. After he finished he came out of room and Madhu followed him.
"So doctor. How is my father" Madhu
"He has slight heart attack. I prescribed him some medicines and he will be ok in week. But he must rest completely this week" RK
"Heart attack! Does he need to go to hospital?" Madhu
"No he doesn't have to. It is not that series. And if he need I will take him to Kundra hospital. But if he take his medicine in time and rest he will not need to hospitalized" RK
RK notice that Madhu and her mother whispering about his fees and how they will pay for it
"It is ok Madam. Mr. Kader toke care of it" RK
"But doctor. It is not right" Madhu
"I'm not here for your father Ms. Malik. I'm here for my father friend. So don't think about it at all. And this week you don't have to go to college. Your father needs you the most. And I will take care of your absence ok?" RK
"Ok doctor I will not leave my father side till he is ok" Madhu
"I will come tomorrow to check on him" RK
"Thank you doctor. I'm very grateful for you" Madhu
"Please don't. Like I told you. I'm here for my father friend. Now I have to go. Take care of your father" RK
"Ok doctor good bye" Padmini
After RK get out of their house, he called his father to tell him about the situation
"Yes RK. Did you go to the patient I told you about?" Mohan picking up RK's call
"Yes father. He is Madhubala Malik father. I checked on him he has heart attack" RK
"Did you hospitalized him?" Mohan
"No sir. It is not that series. And I let Madhubala stay this week with him nursing him at home. She can do what is necessary. They are very emotional. I saw that keeping him in home with his family is better than being in hospital. I'll check on him tomorrow. If his condition doesn't get better by tomorrow I will have to hospitalize him" RK
"Good decision Rishabh. If his daughter taking care of him. There is no need to be in hospital" Mohan
"That's why I asked her to skip college this week and stay with her dad. Will you sir take care of her absence in this period" RK
"Sure it is the least we can do for good student like her" Mohan
"Thank you sire" RK
"No thank you son for being there when I need you" Mohan
"Always dad. Take care. See when you got home. Bye now dad" RK
"Bye son. Take care" Mohan
After RK left Madhu home she was shocked by his kindness. She never saw him this kind. So calm. So tender and caring. When her mother told her
"This doctor is very kind person" Padmini
"This doctor!" Madhu amazed
"Yes Madhu. He is a great doctor and accepted to come here in this simple house for a simple family to check on patient. He is the kindest doctor I ever saw" Padmini
"This is Dr. RK. My worst nightmare. This is the one I hate my college for him. This is the one I hate waking up in the morning for him. This is the one I hate the most. He is hunting me day and night. He comes in my dream to give me worst nightmares. This is doctor nightmare who I told you about" Madhu
"It can't be Madhu. He is so kind and so caring. He even asked you not to leave your father side. If he is bad like you say. Would he be here for free. He didn't take anything from us. And if he wanted we can't afford it. You must be mistaken Madhu" Padmini
"I know mom. And I can't believe my eyes that is the one who was here few minutes ago is the same doctor who treat me like a shit all these years. I think he has personality disorder. He can't be normal" Madhu
Next day RK reached Madhu house to check on his patient when he knocked the door Aryan opened it
"Who is this? Padmini
"Dr. Nightmare ma" Aryan
"What! Don't say that" Padmini running out Shamsher room
"But Di call him that" Aryan
"Naughty boy go and study" Padmini
"Sorry doctor. He is a kid" RK
"It is ok madam. How is Mr. Malik?" RK trying to hide his laugh and acting series
"He is better I think doctor. Come and see by yourself" Padmini
RK enter Shamsher room and check him and find that he is getting better. He praises Madhu work in taking care of her father.
"You did good job Ms. Malik. He is better now. Thanks to you" RK
"No thanks to you doctor. We don't know what would happen if you didn't come. Thank you so much. I will be grateful for you all my life" Madhu
Madhu hesitatingly asking RK
"Can I ask you something?" Madhu
"Sure" RK
"Why you are kind with me like this?" Madhu
