However, the situation was better handled there due to the fact that the era was much more modern. No nosy relatives and all. 😆 Also, the interactions between Gunjan and Samrat were much better given their maturity level. If I recall correctly, he helped her build confidence and that track took a month or two and she helped him during the exams which was also a long track. My main point is that they had a lot of conversations and interactions and they went on to be friends for more than 6 months before any confession of love. I hope it's handled the same way here too because I personally don't believe Naina is in love. It's just a crush/infatuation so far. She has yet to see who Sameer really is. As for Sameer, he really needs to start learning from his mistakes or at least shown to contemplate on his actions. He comes across to me as egoistic and immature which is largely due to neglect from his parents. Both have a lot of growing up to do and they need more personal time together which is really hard when they're constantly surrounded by nosy grown ups. 😆 This show is really lovely and has great potential but like you said we need more conversations between Naina and Sameer instead of background music all the time. Even when Naina tutored Sameer, instead of any lengthy and meaningful conversation we were given background music with constant eyelocks. Hopefully the play will give them the excuse to have some alone-time together without Naina having to lie just to meet up.

Oh man. MJHT and Samrat-Gunjan fan here too. And ever since this track has started I have been continuously thinking about them. Because SaJan are so so similar to Naina/Sameer characterisation wise. One cant help but recall it. Yikes. Now that I think about it even Samrat had so much family issues. Even I hope the track is dealt in a similar way. Specially because like Samrat I expect Sameer to have a huge change of heart for Naina. Its sort of how the plot demands. Confession is a long way to go. But they should know each other before that. I do get the nosy relatives and 90s timeline dont create a situation for them to interact much. But its creative liberty. If the writers want they can easily make Naina/Sameer interact. The study together and Romeo track had good chances of them being alone. Tag them together in some projects or something. The show has a great potential and since Sony shows deal with relationships so well these days. Its expected they would do a good job with this one.

Well said. I also agree that the 90's setting and young age of the main leads are the reasons why there have been so few interactions between Sameer and Naina so far. Also, I think the creatives are trying to make the point that falling in love in those times was more simplistic. That being said, for this to be a memorable show, it still is necessary for them to interact much more than they have been. I agree that they missed a good opportunity during those tutoring sessions - there could have been some initial conversation there. I hope to see them discovering more about each other in the upcoming episodes, as that would really take the show to another level.

I agree that the 90s was a generation of look look hawa hawa love. Its sort of fits the timeline. But for a story to work the path of infatuation to straight love without much basis would be a moodkiller. As much as it is timeline relevant it doesn't work for TV. Its like we know Sameer/Naina. But they dunno about each other.

And I'm sure they will have conversations..

Like someone mentioned here that naina has a crush or infatuation on Sameer and it is not love yet because she has based her feelings on a few interactions she had with him and she didn't know the entire truth.. like the shoes story both the times..one was co incidence and the other Sameer himself the culprit.. but she thought it otherwise..
She still has to see his real face.
Whereas Sameer he is in his own world of ego and attitude and thinks coz of his good looks and money no girl can reject him..

In his immature zid of the bet he is ignoring a very large and important part that he is playing with an innocent's feeling.. though as of now he doesn't think that she is innocent.

There is no guilt in him right now because as said they have hardly interacted..

Once he starts to know her better he will get that guilt feeling too..

Also having said that they don't talk but only bg music and eye locks.. so I think it is because of that generation..
It was not easy for a boy and girl to talk to each other on personal levels..
Mostly there was only staring session going on😆

Yes expecting Sameer to have a guilt trip before Naina knows about the bet. This is a track for Sameer's change of heart. And without interaction this seems like such a huge deal. Like I said before. Timeline demands is understandable but creative liberty is also here where the writers can create situations where they are interacting without breaking the 90s touch.

Naina is in her fantasy world and Sameer is overburdened with his good looks😆

Waiting for the day when she comes to know of the bet and that Sameer was doing all this just for a bet...😊😳

I like the awkwardness they have as teenagers. And how era relevant it is for them to not interact. But they will need some space to know each other. Specially Sameer who is in Im the best land xD XD
