People have very unrealistic expectations from Padmavati after the success of Baahubali 2. But the reality is that Bollywood is still a star-driven industry.

Baahubali 2 didn't star any Bollywood Superstar, but it was already a big brand because of the success of the first part. That helped the movie in getting a record-breaking opening in North India.

Padmavati doesn't has any brand value, neither RS or DP are Superstars like this forum makes them out to be. It has simply no chance to be a Clean Hit unless the opening is bumper. By chance if it gets that opening, then it needs an extraordinary WOM to become the biggest grosser of the year. And SLB is not Rajamouli to ensure that type of WOM.

TZH will easily be the highest grosser of 2017(Bollywood). But it is nothing to be proud of. TZH might be the highest grosser on paper, but when it can't even beat a dubbed regional movie, then what is the use of being a Pan-India Megastar.😆

And here I'm only talking about the collections from Hindi version, so the comparison is completely fair, not apples with oranges.😆
