with filmmaker Ribhu Dasgupta in the Hindi
adaptation of the 2015 book, The Girl on the
Train, according to a leading tabloid. The
novel is written by British author Paula
Hawkins and is a psychological thriller.
A Hollywood movie on the same was made
in 2016 and was led by Emily Blunt who
played the titular character, Rachel Watson.
Jaqueline will now be stepping into the
shoes of Rachel in the Hindi version of the
book.
Speaking candidly on the project is Ribhu,
who stated to the tabloid, "I have just
finished the script. Jackie has come on
board as the protagonist. While the novel
had an ensemble cast, our film will revolve
around her character. I have been looking
forward to working with her and this
seemed like a perfect project to
collaborate."
Jacqueline came onboard for the project in
October and the team will commence
shooting for the same in the first half of
2018.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline was recently in Tel
Aviv, Israel, where she shot for a song with
Sushant Singh Rajput for their upcoming
release, Drive. The movie, which is directed
by Tarun Mansukhani is slated for a Holi
2018 release ie, March 2, 2018. Jacqueline
also vacationed with her friends in Israel for
a few days and shared pictures on her
Instagram as she went swimming in The
Dead Sea.
Jacqueline will also kickstart shooting for
Race 3 next month. The movie will be
helmed by Remo D'Souza and stars Salman
Khan, Aditya Pancholi and Vicky Kaushal.
