I think that kajol is not only the most successful star daughters BT is also the most successful actress of her time. the madhura's, the karishma's have all faded and are has beings . BT kajol is still around. the one thing that worked in kajol favour is that she was never known for her beauty or dancing BT was known more for her acting. when ones beauty is gone and that's all u have been known for there is nothing to u. and one can still be a good dancer BT then u have to have a good body as well.

but kajol for me needs to go back to not caring for her looks and start worrying about her acting. if ppl wanted to see a white Miss they would still care about Katrina. kajols last 2 movies acting wise has not been good.

and that bebo wants that girl been good for besides acting like an egg who has nice clothes and a hoity ass character. she still relative simply coz of her diva attitude and still being relative to the top directors like kjo otherwise no one would bother about her

Nobody is denying that Kajol is one of the best actress in BW but neglecting Karishma Kapoor's hard work and talent is not fair either, I am Kajol's fan but I wouldn't say that Karishma Kapoor is not a big star or didn't make big in BW by her own merit, in fact she is the only star kid that had to struggle a lot to make big in BW and had to go through casting couch a lot because everybody know that the Kapoor family was against their daughters entering in BW, it was her mother Babita that pushed her to work in movies, so whatever she achieved was by her own hard work unlike other star kids that got so many opportunities without struggling so much, also Kajol mostly got success by working with SRK and YRF banner movies in the 90's where Karishma became successful without working many YRF banner movies and she got success with more heroes like Salman, Akshay and Govinda. When Kareena entered in BW, it was because of Karishma Kapoor's fame, Rani Mukherjee's situation is like Kajol's situation because Rani too became famous by working with YRF banner movies, working in the south movie is something different but u can't deny that Karishma is one of the best actress in BW, the reason she couldn't last long is because of her miserable marriage with her ex husband where Ajay always supported Kajol to work on movies after marriage.

has India-Forums ever been fair? People here are always biased to underdogs like Juhi and Karisma and keep undermining achievements of actresses like Kajol,Aish even Madhuri just because they managed to stay relevant past their peak😆.U asked which actress is most successful not the ones who were successful in 90s.In early nineties obviously Kajol was not big as she just debuted in 92,but from mid 90s Karisma and Kajol were at par in popularity.. Kajol has always won immense critical acclaim compared to Karisma for her work in various movies(Gupt,Dushman,HADH with Anil..None had SRK/YRF/Kjo).Obviously Karisma was better in terms of beauty and dancing.Oh thats so convenient bringing up the YRF-Kjo thing! Kajol has done only 2 YRF movies for starters in the 90s.Kjo made KKHH in 98.1 movie in whole 90s decade.Even Karisma & Juhi have done YRF movies in 90s,its not Kajol's fault that none of them went on to become iconic like DDLJ,YRF/SRK repeated Kajol ONLY because their collaborations were hit.SRK-Juhi did many movies in 90s but not all were hits like SRK-Kajol.So Kajol got movies due to her merit thats creating hits with SRK.No one does samaaj seva in BW.If SRK/YRF favoured Kajol,Karisma was heavily supported by Govinda-Salman-Dhawans if I go by ur logic.

.Kajol was the one who got married at peak of her career at age of 24,while likes of Juhi nd Karisma settled into matrimony after their golden run was over.Kajol was always glaringly bold in her choices.Sad that Karisma had a bad marriage but no need to glorify Ajay for Kajol still managing to stay relevant.Its because of her past work and directors who trust in her talent.How many movies Ajay produced or directed for Kajol from 2000s? I am not going to start on the philandering rumours of Ajay or the way he tried to destroy Kajol's friendship with Adi/KJO.

No u cannot be dismissive of South Indian film industry as currently they make better stuff than BW.Kajol's popularity there is a big deal as she has done only 1 good Tamil movie and is not of SI origin like Deepu & Ash yet won tremendous love & support.Its commendable when currently No:1 director of Indian Cinema Rajamouli praised her and Dulquer Salmaan heartthrob of nation called her,his favorite.Not to forget her humongous overseas popularity which is only 2nd to Aish So much that Polish actress in Shivaay was Kajol fan but unaware of Ajay's work.

Rani did struggle in her initial years.YRF took her in their movies because she was brilliant in KKHH,Ghulam,proved her talent.She is eons ahead of Karisma & likes.More versatile than Kajol.Intrinsic talent,grace and charisma.Adi wasnt doin any favours.She was that good.Kareena might not be the bets actress but she is a big star from her debut.Her debut was a flop,yet ppl talked abt her more than Amisha fresh from KNPH.Yes she did not have to struggle like Karisma,but she won fame and fans due to her own screen presence and energy.She did not have to work hard like others to win ppl's love maybe..But that is her luck why even debate that?
