Ranbir Kapoor: I am dying to watch Deepika Padukone's Padmavati

Ranbir Kapoor, at a recent event, said he is dying to watch Padmavati.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati, is one of the most awaited films of 2017. Starring Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, Padmavati is a huge scale film and fans have been waiting for it to finally hit the screen. Today, the trailer is out and fans are going over the grandeur that Bhansali has portroyed the story.

We have fallen in love with the trailer. Not just us, Ranbir Kapoor can't wait to watch the film. According to a reports in a leading TV channel's website, Ranbir and Alia Bhatt attended an event recently wherein they talked about how competition in the industry inspires them and both mentioned about Deepika Padukone.

Alia Bhatt said, "When I saw Deepika's look in Padmavati I was jumping in my room because it looks so exciting. But initially I wasn't like that. I am a very competitive person but I feel that we're in a space where we can actually be inspired by each other's work."

On the same lines, Ranbir added, "You feel bad but you feel inspired as well. This is my tenth year. Probably earlier on I was more competitive and jealous but then you reach a point where it's about your survival, your choices and how good you are. Now when I see Varun doing Judwaa I feel happy because so early he has learnt the art of pleasing the audience. When I see the looks of Deepika, Shahid and Ranveer from Padmavati, I'm dying to watch the film."

Deep inside he is wishing he was Ratan or Khilji. Everybody dies to be part of SLB movie.

Amazingly he is not termed as desperate whereas had it been Deepika she would have been called Fake and Desperate.

^^ so true, actually, I expected to read comments after comments about praising him, his nature, his gentle-manly behavior about praising Deepika n RS n Shahid.

where-as, if the same article been about Deepika, people wudnt left a moment to s**t-sham her and call it an attempt to be in news and promote a movie which might be releasing after a year

LOL at the headlines. He didn't mention DP exclusively or went on about how good she looks , he mentioned about all three leads , his comment was very generic . Nothing wrong about what he said .

Dunno, was wondering if RK feels bad that he got a "Saawariya" from SLB, while RS, DP got RL, BM and Padmavati from the same man..😛

if only RK hadnt backbited and badmouthed SLB, who knows he may have got another big ticket project with him too..

poor guy. he is not even considered for movies like Padmavati or Judwaa2... he will remain one trick pony forever. no versatility whatsoever🤣

nothing wrong bt what he said. ITs how members here react, that is the main question.

Compare this thread to the thread where Deepika just said, 'I wish' to a question regarding Ranbir. She had not even taken his name. Yet, she was shammed, so bdaly, when it was evident that her reply was sarcastic.
