Dev in the upcoming sports biopic '83
was about to settle down, fresh rumours
about Katrina Kaif taking on the role of
Kapil's wife, Romi Dev, has gotten
everyone talking again. Now that's an
intriguing pairing, indeed!
Kat is said to be filmmaker Kabir Khan' s
favourite, as he has done three films with
her, starting from New York, Ek Tha Tiger
to Phantom. If Kat signs the film, it will be
her first film opposite Ranveer.
Wonder how his rumoured ladylove
Deepika Padukone will feel about that,
hmm?
A source told DNA, "So far, Kabir has not
locked the lead actress. Two other
actresses have been finalised, one is a
newcomer and another has been
suggested by Ranveer."
The film is based on India's historic world
cup cricket victory in 1983.
Currently Ranveer is gearing up for the
release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali' s
historical drama, Padmavati , which stars
Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.

i dont think so, the wife isn't gonna hav a big role, they will probably go for new comers or lesser known actors for the playing the wives of the cricketers

The movie is about all players and not just Kapil Dev. So you can imagine how small a role the Kapil Dev's wife will have. Katrina is eyeing for all cameos with no value why?

RS can have chemistry with anyone but I don't think it'll be good chemistry. Not like he manages with others... She would look older to him though.. Anyway, I like how Kat has returned to the Game! Woman just doesn't let up.

I think TZH will be a significant role and I like how she is part of the action as well. The rest seem kind of insignificant roles but are helping her get back on top.
