Hit / flop status is decided based on the price it has been sold to the distributors not based on the budget.

i think it has some connection with the price distributors have paid

i had similar question on houseful 3

i believe these were sold to distributors for lower price and they made decent profits.

that is exactly why tubelight despite a budget of less than 100cr is a flop despite earning 115cr coz distributors were too over confident and bought it for a much higher price

approx 40-45% plus is distributor share

in bang bang case it was approx 75crs

and ae dil he it waas 53cr aprrox
