Duryodhan may have extended hand of friendship to Karna out of his own selfish agenda but over the time he genuinely trusted and respected Karna. and unlike elitist Pandavas he never looked down upon Karna. he really was not all pitch black character as he was made out to be.
but i will go ashwathama here.
His father was murdered brutally in such an underhanded way. and he created havoc by slaying the innocent children of pandavas including targeting the unborn son of Abhimanyu. and he was cursed to remain in land which belonged to neither hell nor heaven. nor earth.
Narottam has lot of shades of Shikandi looking for rightful vengeance and ashwathama who lost the sight of wrong and rights in pursuit of justice.

I totally agree with you
Duryadhan did wrong with draupadi, somehow pandas also
But he genuinely love karna, believe in him, broken by his death
Don't know why people question such pure friendship.
But to RKC
Anami is karna & only karna I feel
I don't see krishanu in him. Neither krishna had bitter feeling towards his parents nor he is questioned by his birth
I don't see arjun in anami also.
On the other hand narottam is little bit of duryadhan.
As Duryadhan is judged that he can't become a good king cuz in his birth time bidur declared that nobody give him chance
Same with narottam he can't as he is a illegitimate child.
