PART 6 UPDATED
MUMBAI OCTOBER 2014
It's been 3 months since Gauri had directly started assisting Mrs Rathore. She had always been an intelligent girl and keen learner despite her lack of formal education. Her embroidery skills were more than impressive. Mrs Rathore was personally training her and polishing her designing skills. She was an extremely innovative girl and Mrs Rathore admired the personal touch of Gauri in all her designs. She truly had the aptitude for designing apparels. It was an inborn talent. It had to be nurtured.
An Apparel showcase of Mrs Rathore was coming up. Gauri had worked very hard for it. Infact 80% of the effort was put forth by her. She exceptional with "Kantha" work even since her Bareily days and the present collection had a liberal amount of that. The finished product was more than satisfactory and Mrs Rathore was excited about the collection.
On the day of the launch there was a huge press meet as her collection was coming after a long wait. It was a huge success and Mrs Rathore wanted to acknowledge Gauri and introduce her to the media. She looked around the auditorium for her but she was nowhere to be found. After about an hour wait she gave up hopes for introducing Gauri. More than being upset she found it yo be strange. Gauri was a very responsible girl and her not attending the exhibition would have some strong reason. She was as enthusiastic about the collection launch as Mrs Rathore.
After the press meet got over Mrs Rathore tried to call up Gauri but she was still unavailable. She went back home and found Gauri waiting for her in the drawing room. She was moving to and fro which proved that she was extremely nervous about the launch. But then why did the avoid the press meet?..
"Gauri..."...Mrs Rathore called out...
She looked towards Mrs Rathore...and immediately got up from the sofa abd hurried towards her..."Madamji how was the exhibition?" she asked apprehensively...
"It was a extremely successful Gauri...very successful...people were delighted with OUR collection...rather YOUR collection..." she said...and then with a pause she continued..."Why didnt you come Gauri?...It was your hard work...I wanted to introduce you to the fashion world...but you werent there..." there was a disappointment in her voice
Gauri stared at her face in disbelief..."You wanted to introduce me Madamji?"..."But why?"...
"Because in the next 1 year...you will be launching your own collection"...she replied with a certainty in her voice.
Gauri finally revealed her worries..."Madamji...it will be difficult for me to make a mark in this field...I am not as educated as you all...neither do I come from a rich background"...
So this was bothering her...education, background...and what not
She looked at Gauri's innocent eyes and smiled...
"My dear, this is a creative field where what matters is your talent. If you have that everthing else can be managed. There are some many media personalities...do you think all of them are highly educated? Not at all. Some of them have received as much formal education as you have. But yes...what they have is the required grooming and that is not a big deal. Gauri you are amazing as you are...but if this is what is bothering you...just keep your worries aside"
Gauri looked at her astonished...what exactly did she mean...?...was her lack of education not a deterrent in pursuing her dreams and aspirations? Would she ever be able to make her mark independently with this meagre background? This was a distant dream for her...But She would have all her questions answered in a while.

6 months had passed and Gauri Kumar Ssarma was a changed woman. Mrs Rathore had enrolled her for one of the best grooming classes of the city and Gauri loved it. She was rediscvering herself. She realised formal education wasnt everything. She came to know that there were many celebrities who werecas educated as her. But they were formally groomed for the profession.
It was a continuous learning process. Her designing works and grooming classes went hand in hand. So much was happening in her life that she couldnt dwell on her past. But she knew that those incidents acted as an impetus.
She was on the way to becoming Gauri Sharma from Gauri Kumari Ssarma. There would be no looking back from here.
The Gods loved her...she would definitely get everything that she always wished for...EVERYTHING

MUMBAI 2017
Omkara Singh Oberoi woke up at dawnbreak after a horrible sleepless night. One week had passed since his last encounter with Gauri Sharma and the thoughts of Chulbul...sorry Gauri Kumari Ssarma were constantly affecting him. He was helpless. He tried his best for a diversion but failed miserably in the attempts. His exhibition was coming up and with this distraction he was worried how he would complete his job.
The last words of Chulbul echoed...in his minds...somehow Chulbul never protested during the accusations...that was something which had subconsciously disturbed Omkara all these years. He had trusted Chulbul with his innermost secrets and thoughts but what he received was betrayal. He was cheated. Chulbul was a liar...but...
Despite being at the zenith of his anger...Omkara couldnt deny to his inner self that it was a surprise to see Gauri heading a leading fashion brand. She had been quite an achiever it seemed.
Suddenly he had an urge to decipher the feelings behind Gauri's expressionless, cold eyes...immediately the next moment he rebuked himself for taking so much of interest in her. He wasnt expecting this from himself.
This guy wouldnt accept even to himself that there was not a single day in the past 3 years when he had not thought about Chulbul and Gauri Ssarma. They were like a skeleton ih his closet.
He got up from the bed had his tea and got ready for the day. Today he would be deliberately going with Priyanka to meet Gauri Sharma, though he wasn't supposed to. He told Prinku that he would be her moral support...which was welcomed by his sister.

They reached the her office sharp at 10 AM. and were guided to the seminar room. Gauri Sharma would be doing a presentation on the designs for the store.
As they entered the room, he saw her standing near her laptop. She was wearing a white Anarkali and her hair (which seemed shorter in length that before) was left open but neatly pinned up. She wore mo accessories as before. Omkara stared at her for a moment before getting embarrassed that somebody would notice him.
She was intently staring at her laptop. On hearing Priyanka greeting her she looked up, smiled and greeted her back. Then her eyes shifted to Om, she wished him too and asked them to be seated.
Gauri was too flustered to see Omkara Singh Oberoi. She wasnt expecting this at all. The meeting was supposed to be with Priyanka but he tagged alonas well. No she would have to be extra careful about curtaining her emotions. She couldnt deny to herself at least that a presentation in front of Omkara was difficult for her.
Nevertheless she cleared her throat, addressed the handful of people in the room and went ahead with her presentation. It lasted for 30 minutes. While everyone was interested in the designs being projected...Omkara Singh Oberoi found his mind wandering. At each and every moment the images of Gauri Ssarma vividly came to his mind. The lady standing infront of him and doing the presentation seemed to be a different person...yet quite the same...
He was lost in his thoughts...when he suddenly heard people clapping. He looked around and saw everyone congratulating Gauri...
Priyanka was the first to speak..."That was awesome GS..excellent...the best I have seen in quite a while..."...she turned to Om and asked..." isnt it so?"
What was Om supposed to answer...he didn't notice a single design...he was too busy and engrossed in comparing the past with the present.
Not knowing what to say...he nodded in a yes.
Without wasting words...Gauri said..."So these are finalised for the store and these would be exclusive for your store"..."we finalise the deal today"
Omkara wanted to ask her so many things...but was tongue tied...he would have to wait for the next opportunity. She meant business today...and his talks were remotely away from anything related to business. She should not get any wrong menaing that he was desperate to talk to her. He was conveniently lying to himself.

Gauri had clearly noticed that Omkara was lost in his thoughts during the presentation. So when he answered to Priyanka's question...it was difficult for her to hide a smile. Hwr primary confusion was that why did her come for the meeting? He rarely did things out of interest. So what was so interesting for him in this meeting? was it Priyanka' store?...or was it...
She put a halt to her thoughts right there.
"Stop it Gauri...he came to attend the meeting with his sister and he is clearly helping her out in her venture...nothing else"
No expectations...and No explanations...the basic principles of her life...she reiterated.
Somehow she loved the wide expanse of the deep blue sea at dusk even more today...a lone seagull was flying above it free...what a wonderful sight.
A cool seabreeze was caressing her hair and the sky was overcast...it was about to rain after weeks of scorching weather.
