I Won't
"Gauri, mai sach me tumse pyar karata hu."
"Nahi Omkara Ji, aap hamse pyar nahi karte. Kaise kar sakte hai aap? Nahi, aap nahi kar sakte." She backed off, her eyes reflecting unsureness which hit his heart with a sharp pain, he wouldn't be able to put in words. Being questioned about love was the worst feeling ever, Om understood that day and he had made her go through that feeling so many times. That realization hurts!
"Hame aapki daya nahi chahiye." She was clear with the words she chose, leaving no second thoughts.
"Gauri this is not pity. I lo..."
"Jhooth. Mat kahiye ke aap hamse pyar karte hai. Aaj tak aapne hamse kabhi pyar nahi kiya. Pyar to dur, na kabhi izzat ki na parwah to aaj kyu? Sirf isliye kyunki aapko hamare beete hue kal ke purane panne mil gaye hai?"
He could feel the trauma she was going through. He undoubtedly could. A thin layer of tears shone in her eyes yet she held them back, not allowing them to fall. That would have showed her weak in front of him and Gauri Kumari Sharma was anything but weak.
"Tum galat samajh..." His words died in air when it came striking him that she was fainting. He was right beside her the next moment, preventing her fall by circling his arms around her waist. "Gauri... Gauri..." He called frantically but she was already unconscious. He quickly lifted her, and laid her on the bed. Sprinkling water should have woken her up but it did not which scared him to death.

"Doctor, what has happened to her? Why isn't she opening her eyes?" Omkara panicked, ending up throwing questions at doctor in his shaking voice.
"Relax Om. Tell me, is she stressing out a lot over something?" Doctor tried calming down a scared husband who was worrying sick over his wife.
Om thought for a fraction of second before he nodded positively. She indeed was... a lot. And the reason was he. He felt ashamed at the realization, blaming himself for her condition.
"That's it. She fainted because of excess stress. Probably she has been skipping meals too which has worsened things. I'll get her an injection. You make her eat something once she wakes up and make sure, she stays calm and stress free."
She wasn't eating fine and he did not pay attention to that? Cursing himself, he closed his hand in a fist. Angry on himself, he did not know how to react. How exactly damn he could be that careless?

It had been almost an hour since Doctor left, by prescribing no medicines at all but with some advises to Om regarding Gauri. He was sitting on the bed, right beside her continuously caressing her hairs but making sure too lightly and tenderly. He loved watching her asleep. She looked always so peaceful but not today. Today, the peace was vanished somewhere. All he could see was lines of worries on that beautiful face, he never wanted to have a fraction of tension.
Keeping aside everything for a while, he composed himself calling for her name. He must wake her up. She needs to eat something.
A relief rushed through his entire self when he saw her blinking her eyes slowly. She was having a hard time in opening them. No wonder! Everything has taken toll on her.
"Slowly. Yeah get up. You gotta eat something." He was being extra careful when he helped her in sitting comfortably, leaning against the head post. She was grasping all the happenings quitely. He was never so gentle how he was, these days, especially today! She thought.
"Hame bhukh nahi hai." It came as anger and disappointment took over her again. He was doing it as nothing but pity.
"Enough Gauri. Gussa ho mujse, shikayate hai, narajagi hai - sab manzoor hai lekin ye nahi. He let out sternly yet there was a soothing tone in the air. "Jab tak mai wapas nahi aa jata yaha se hilna mat." He told her, requesting rather pleading. "Chulbul ko uske buddy ki kasam hai." Hearing Chulbul from him brought a small smile on her face after a stunned moment. He was assured that she wouldn't step down now, so he quickly moved out making his way towards Kitchen.
