Jab dard ke badal chaye the, man pe raat ke kale saye the,
pane khone ke fer main jab duniya lagi thi, us waqt tum kahaan the ?
When the clouds of torment threatened me, the dark shadows crawled across my mind,
When the world around me steered itself into a chaos of meaningless battles,
Where were you?
Kudrat ne kaha tha, wada liya tha, jab lahu ke ek dhage se bandha tha,
jab lahu pani ban raha tha, tab tum kahan the ?
When destiny had ordered, when blood had bonded us together, forever...
And when our blood had thinned into water, Where were you then?
Jab lahu paani ban reha tha...Reference to Blood is thicker than water.
Yet, blood had gone against the law...Father had turned against son (Vikram and Baldev), Son had been turned against father (Both Baldev's sons...though, Vatsalya could not have known about Narottam. Vatsalya himself had been made to stand up as an example to his father, though that didn't affect their relationship.)Vatsalya couldn't bear the disintegration in his family, and he was calling out for help...
And as Anami knew now, he had succeeded. His death had brought her there. The dhaaga which was supposed to protect him had gone to her,as fate had decided ..For sure, he knew how he would greet her when she came home.
This bond between the siblings...such a subtle, yet powerful portrayal...I am still reminded of the day Anami welcomed Vatsalya's memories home inadvertently, amidst shouts of joy, that annoyed the grieving Baldev!
And Vatsalya breezes in and out...A boy who had embarked on a journey to salvation...Having finally known the answers to his questions, he entreats his blood to save what was left.
How can one show be so gripping?!đđđ
