Simran easily outscored Lucknow Central as it collected 2.50 crore nett day one. The had started slow but managed to pick up at the high end multiplexes of metros post the afternoon shows. This had looked a possibility yesterday as the type of film it is but the pick up was restricted to the metros. The collections of the film are pretty much similar to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and better than Bareilly Ki Barfi and these films have managed average and average plus business respectively and that will be the target for this film. The difference is this film seems much more urban than those films so even the contribution outside metros will probably be even less here. The collections on day one are still low but it has a chance depending on the enxt two days.

I read it was 2.7 cr for day 1. I think weekend wud be around 12 cr and lifetime can be around 18+. But again not sure and ur predictions are mostly correct 90% of the time.
