It's high time Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs took a season break

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs is out of Top 5, according to the latest weekly data released by BARC India. The show that has been consistently on No. 1 slot for months together is no longer enjoying the same popularity.
The show, judged by Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali, and hosted by Aditya Narayan has been raking in ratings ever since its premiere (February 25, 2017). In June 2017, the show climbed to the No. 1 position for the first time and retained the top slot for the longest time.
The show's contestants like Jayas Kumar (6), Shanmukh Priya (14), Dhroon Tickoo (11) have become a household name.
Finally Sa Re Ga Ma Li'l Champs was ousted from No. 1 position for the first time by Colors TV's Khatron Ke Khiladi, which premiered on July 22, 2017. Initially, the stunt-based reality show debuted at No. 2 spot, but soon beat Li'l Champs.
This week, the popular ZEE TV show is on sixth spot with 5.5 million impressions. While KKK continues to be on No. 1 spot with 7.2 million impressions, Kaun Banega Crorepati has debuted with No.2 spot (6.2 million impressions), Kumkum Bhagya is on third spot (5.8 million impressions).
Singing and dance reality shows generally run for three-four months, but the ongoing season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs has been running for over six months now. The makers should take the cue from its ratings, take a season break, and return with a fresh installment soon.
