But, first, what I truly liked was :

1. SRJ's expressions. In this episode, they were all very well done.

This is the first epi where he appeared totally at ease as Mahadev

and all expressions were beautiful.

In fact he conveyed so much, without speaking. ⭐️

2. Bhandasur - Will miss this actor. Insolence and Arrogance, in that order,

came across very well..

3. Pooja Sharma looked absolutely beautiful as Ma Lalita Tripurasundari

and good performance. With each roop and look, she goes totally into new

mode. She makes slight personality changes, which makes her a

different person. Looking forward to all the various roops she will portray.

The reason I was underwhelmed was :

1. it looked like a bit of an editing goof up. The first shot of

Ma Lalita Tripurasundari, it seemed as though Pooja was just

getting into the character and camera rolled before she was

completely ready. It sort of detracted a little from the rest -

especially since Pooja gave a flawless performance.

2. Ganga is shown as powerless. No defence. 😔 At least she

should be shown trying to protect by getting as far away as possible.

Here they showed her moving of her own volition towards Bhandasur,

as soon as she spotted him on the banks!!! Why?

3. Did not like that line about Maa winning over Bhand, which was

a bit petty.

By the way, what exactly do they mean by Bhand here. As far as

I know a Bhand is something like a court jester or maybe buffoon.

But Bhandasur does not fit that. Are they using the word to

mean "eunuch" here? Of course that is what makes sense,

but I have never heard this usage before😕 If this is the case,

then that line is more offensive. Writer needs to be more sensitive.

4. My opinion about the other Gods/Goddesses: I do not want to say

anything about this part -as it is so uncomplimentary it is not worth

writing.

Lakshmi I stopped expecting proper or even close to proper stories from serials.

I loved the Tripura Sundari roop...so much divinity...just loved it... I also liked SRJ 's expressions...also how Gauri is gradually accepting her powers...again finally Lakshmi Devi and goddess Saraswati are shown fighting...overall I liked the epi...waiting for next epi...btw what was the precap?

Hi Lakshmi, Thanks for the info. I did not know this part. I love to read such info.

Usually if the stories are from the texts, there are some symbolic and deeper meanings to the stories, which is why knowing them is lovely.

With reference to TV shows, I have given up on them being faithful to the texts.

But now I do not get too worked up about it, as in a way because we are watching the show, we also get to know some parts of texts which we are not aware of, due to persons who have the knowledge- like you, who are on the forum.

So a silver lining in a very dark cloud😊

But from the way the word was being used in the show, it certainly does not look like they were using it to mean "shame". It looks more like they were using it with the Hindi meaning (although even there it is ...)

I wonder what the writer meant ... with UN it could be anything😆

Thank you. I feel gratified even if one person like you show interest to know the real story. I agree with you. They might not be even bothered why Bhandasur is called so. More so the writer of the show would always like to interpret in his own way though it looks ridiculous.

Like when he made Bhandasur say Mai Sarir Nahi bhasm Hun. He did not even think twice before writing that. Jeeta jaagta asura stands and admits he is not Sarir.how absurd it can be.

Ved Vyas clearly mentioned how Bhasmasur came to life only due to Shiv .

But Utkarsh Nathani wants to prove his creativity...

Anyway...nice to know you who understood my anguish regarding distortions.

I guess not many are happy with these distortions...I wish we could let the cvs know...creative liberty is important but changing the basic storyline is not interesting
