I knew that when Kaamdev was burn down by Mahadev he was reincarnated as Pradyumna, Krishna's first born son with Rukmini. But after watching today's episode I came to know about Bhandasur. Is Bhandasur story in text. And after his death was he born as Pradyumna?

By the way did Indra made haste by asking Agni dev to protect the energy of Shiva Shakti. What I want to say is the energy was really strong even Agni dev had trouble to hold if then Bhandasur would have burned. What is written return in our destiny cannot be altered but still...

IBhandasur was never involved in Karikeya's birth. It is Agni,Ganga,Bhu and Saravan ( the reeds) that hold the Shiv tej but pass on due to their inability to keep it with themselves. The story described in Shiv Puran,Ramayan Bala kanda,Skandha Puran Mahabharat nowhere Bhandasur was mentioned as the. Intruder.

Bhandasur was created through ashes of Manmatha but he was not Pradyumna. When Rati did penance, Shiva clearly told that he will come up as Pradyumna and she would marry him as Mayavati.

Bhandasur was not created by Tarakasur . Brahmanda Puran describes thus... a follower of Shiva by chance makes a doll and when he takes it to shiva it turns to a boy.

Thanks all.

I thought I had missed out on this part or confused Bhandasur with some other story ... as I could not recall any involvement with birth of Kartikeya.

Now I know that it is 'creative liberty' taken here. Or is there any other story which connects to what is being shown?

Kartikeya's birth has nothing to do with Bhandasur. Infact even Tarakasur won't involve . Only Devas are involved . While Valmiki Ramayan tells Shiv Tej is changed from Agni,Vayu,Ganga,Earth and then fell in the lake where Saravan ( reeds) finally became the place of birth Siva Mahapuran and Skandha Puran almost validates the story. Mahabharat differs where Agni's wife Swaha takes the forms of wives of Sapta Rishis except Arundhati and thus six mothers happened ...
Krittikas nourished him first before Shiv and Parvati reached him...as per Ramayan Shiv Puran etc.
Mahakali's involvement is nowhere found. But like you said creative liberty ..

Bhandasur was born when a gan of Siva called Chitra Karma made a doll from Manmatha's ashes and when he takes it to Shiv the doll comes to life. No Tarakasur can infuse life in ashes that has Shiva's Krothagni inherent in them, it is not child play to create life.

When Bhandasur grows up and becomes intolerable to even Tridev then they invoke Lalita Tripura Sundari from Chit Agni with the grace of Adi Para Sakti.

Mahakali never runs after Bhandasur. Tripurasundari fights a battle.

Maha pasupatastra sabhandasura Sunyaka.

Bhandasura vadhodyukta Sakti Sena saman vita These are the lines from Lalita Sahasra Nama.

Thanks for sharing this information. Taking creative liberties has become a new norm these days. Quality has definitely taken a backseat. I am really looking forward to the story of Tripura Sundari.

Thanks Lakshmi for the detailed story
Indra was quick to assume Bhandasur was dead
And he even removed the magic from the place
But I feel Bhandasur would have burned
If he even tried to touch that fire

When creative liberties are taken the writer forgets key points.
Here the bhandasur is try to snatch the urja which is so potent that even Agni finds it difficult to hold is.
One more point I have against the writer is him wanting to portray Parvati as ignorant scared confused and whole lot of not so Shakthi like.
I agree Parvati was in soft gentle personality, but no she was not ignorant or scared.
Yesterday's "I don't know how to do that tandav" was uncalled for.
As Someone mentioned in the forum, Show don't tell
They should have just shown how Parvati merges her lasya with the tandav.
Come on uttkarsh every form of Shakthi was powerful, whether parvati or kali.
