Mother of Subrahmanya ( Kartikeya)

Guha (additional aspect of Subrahmaya, according to the rtatvanidhi) who have one face, three eyes and four arms. His head is adorned with a kira made of gold set with rubies.

In the right hands there is the vajra and the ula and the left hand held in ithe varada mudra.

Parvati being the mother of Kartikeya is notified in Lalitasahasra by this name.

Devi Mahatmyam describes Adi Sakti as Skanda Mata one of the nine Durgas.

The goddess whose form power and existence is secret.

Adi Sakti 's form is beyond human perception like it was said in Lakita Sahasra Nama through the name guhya rupini.

Guhyeswari temple exists in Khatmandu Nepal. It is nearer to Pasupatinath Temple. It is considered as a Sakti pith also as one of the parts of Satidevi fell here.
